Linda pls ve you read the recurrent budget for 2012 ? And how much the government plans to spent on salaries and allowances ?
And Ngozi iweala was comparing nigerian pump price with other countries, she shld ve done same with the salaries and allowances as well during the oil subsidy debate. To think that Lamido has the guts to ask if those asking for the subsidy are "in this world". Its not enough to protest, since we voted these rogues in, we must get them out ASAP.
Will be at Charing cross defo !

The government is simply saying since you are stupid enough to vote us in, then you must foot the bill for our lavish life style.

How did we get to this mess sef, we knew what PDP are about yet we voted them in ? Guess we deserve this...

Question is what can we do now ? and how fast can we get rid of them?

LOL! I love my country so much but Nahh..I rada rally in niaj not over here abeg. Anyways, kudos to those gettin involved :)

This wont make any difference, as Nigerians abroad are not being affected by the PDP's fraud and unjust system. The best thing they can do is call for Britain and the Wests heavy hand to be loosened on Nigeria and stop pretending they dont play a major impact into our corruption. Nigerians abroad should call for better policies in our country

Whatever rally they are organising, they should try to act responsible and be informative.Like it or not,Nigerians look up to Nigerians in diaspora because they live in the midst of development......

London was not built in a day.the UK was built on the sweat and pain of peasants.Taxation was the major tool of the past British monarchs, very bitter tax.to build the Keeps(castles for military purposes),to build the tall proud cathedrals, abbeys, churches we look up to today, the bridges, the towers.TaX!i'm sure the peasants then didn't find it funny @ all.they were uprisings. If there was democracy then,if they could revolt against the king,if they could remove him;they would have surely done so!Now look what their labour brought?Beautiful Cities.

Britain has no petroleum we know of.it is good economic measures that sustains them.Good policies and accountability that has our country running there to seek for a better life.

FUEL SUBSIDY REMOVAL OR NOT! What we need is accountability!

So people are supposed to abandon lectures or work and protest in the freezing cold and rain? You guys are not serious. The only protest I will and most people will join is against Boko Haram.

For many months Linda kept blogging and highlighting what was going in the north. Some of you only wanted her to blog entertainment news. Linda was among the few farsighted Nigerians (online) that was consistent in bringing to world attention what Boko Haram was doing.

Boko Haram were killing Igbo people and Christian and no one here in London complained in the papers, radio, tv or church and no one protested.

"Britain has no petroleum we know of..."
The oil fields in the North-Sea are co-owned by Britain (& Norway)... so they sure do have loads of petroleum...

i dont want to rain on this parade but please can someone tell me what rallying by a TRAIN STATION in england, europe will do to effect policies bing made in NIGERIA, WEST AFRICA? Besides quietly assiting in the corruption and destruction of Nigeria, how is England a part of Nigeria? How does England effect/affect Nigeria policy? Am not playing stupid- what concrete accomplishment will be made by protesting in London? Not even Nigerian Embassy in London bu ttrainstation at that...

Egyptians are in the diaspora but you did not see them staging protests in foreign lands....SMH

HATER IS BACK!!!! said...

dem get time o jare!

it would come to NOTHING!

National strike as from monday, workers would be happy to rest at home rather than join any protest rally which somebody might die as it was at ilorin few days ago!

My country pipo, make we simply adjust our lifestyles chikenna! WE SHALL ALSO SURVIVE THIS! NIGERIANS ARE KNOWN FOR THEIR TENACITY AND SURVIVAL STRATEGY! JUST WAIT AND SEE! as for me,i am cutting down on visitations and waka-waka that has no purpose.

A driver joked that it would reduce the terrible hold up; instead of oga, madam and pikin go drive different cars comot for house, nah one motor dem go all manage or use the public transport! #laughing#

Invitation for Deportation!

The only reason why a protest can be held abroad especially in London, is because America and the UK want Nigeria to split into different countries by 2013. The UK allowing us to protest on their land is their way of saying they will help us and because people are protesting in Nigeria against the president, the UK and America will come into Nigeria claiming they are helping us . But in reality they will be stealing our oil.

Anonymous said...

Awon wairey. Why don't u all protest the killing of poor innocent souls by boko mad men and the northern muslims. See vanity upon vanity all na vanity. So u all love ur material wealth this much

Charing cross station is down the road from the Nigerian embassy.

Anonymous said...

@anon 3:15pm, Charing Cross tube station is a stone throw from the Naija High Commission!

Alicia says... said...

this will be totally pointless, sorry. if you are living comfortably (comparing to average Nigerian standards) in the UK, why should the NIGERIAN GOVERNMENT even care? ABEG, stay at home or dont go out and get beat up by the police, you know how those racist fucks can be.

Anonymous said...

IF YOU ARE ILLEGAL IN UK, BETTER DONT GO , U MIGHT BE DEPORTED.

Anonymous said...

Annonymous 3:15 Nigerian Embassy is not far from charing cross station , besides Niger embassy is an enclosed street so nobody is going to know dat anytin is going on there!

Anonymous said...

And i can bet u some nigerians will ONLY go there just to meet other single nigerian men/women to kpox or eventually marry. *sighs*

Anonymous said...

@Anon January 4, 2012 3:15 PM

The Nigerian High Comm (Embassy) is just around the corner from the station just about 5min walk, so am guessing the picket line will be there.

Please make your voices HEARD but not HURT. Protesting is important but do not fight, it's not the kind of attention this cause needs.

It's amazing how short sighted some of you are being. Please this is a serious matter. THINK! Firstly, those who do not have papers obviously wont be attending the rally. THINK!
Secondly, just because Nigerians in the UK are not being affected, that does not mean we shouldn't add our voices to the masses in Nigeria. We still have families and loved ones there, we still visit and many of us nurse the ambition to return. The point of the rally is to draw attention to what the mistake the government is making. If we get lots of publicity it will send a message to our so-called leaders. THINK! We need to let the government know that we will not sit by placid whilst they continue to rape us to enrich themselves. IF WE DO NOTHING, OUR CHILDREN WILL BE NEXT. They wont have a place to call home because we allowed ourselves to be to stupid to challenge our government. THINK people, PLEASE!

I have questions, can anyone answer them for me....

Why is Goodluck Jonathan making such a radical change at a time when Boko Haram are murdering people all across the nation. Is it to distract Nigerians and the rest of the world from the bombings or to come across incompetent so that the western world can now interfere as they did with Ivory coast and replace him. Or is it so that during the protests, Boko Haram can strike and perform it's mass killings on protestants more easily. Hence the need for international aid and the revoking of the anti gay/lesbian marriage law that was recently passed?

Please look into the agendas of the NWO (New World Order) movement and consider the facts that..

1. Nigeria is one of the most populous country in the world.

2. We have been blessed (though it now seems like a curse) with oil and other natural resources.

3. Our movie celebrities are now being awarded international contracts at a more rampant rate than ever before.

4. Kanye west signed D'banj, he came out with Oliver and wanted people to participate in the 'greed is okay' brain-wash, Akon has now signed Tuface Idibia and Wiz kid. These are International artists who have direct ties with Jay-z, and Lady gaga, serial satanists.
Remember, Lucifers role in heaven was to serve God with his then heavenly voice and music until he got power-drunk, was thrown out of heaven and became the serpent/devil. He has been using this same tool to woo and brain-wash the world and continues to do so even as we speak.

5. Why did Obama use Jay-z and other celebrities for his campaign, Goodluck used D'banj and others. Why did both of them use this rear tactic of incorporating musicians with politics?

5. Why is it that it's only in the recent years that we've seen a somewhat overload of reality tv shows in Africa, like Big Brother Africa (take note of the Illuminati eye logo) replicas of dancing with the stars, The dragons den etc. This is further brain-washing.

6. Why is it that when the British colony went to Nigeria in the 20th century, they worked directly with the northerners because they would often partner with the Southeners of Nigeria. History has a habit of repeating itself. Slavery never ended, they want us to think it did, even Americans know who the real terrorists are.

Lastly, ask yourself this question as random as it might sound, if Juju exists in Nigeria, what makes you think it doesn't in other parts of the world, even in the western world. Satan is a backward demon and seeing as the Bible reveals how he tried to deceive God, our divine heavenly creator, who are we to think we haven't been bamboozled. He will want you to think good is bad and bad is good, that the impossible is possible and the possible-impossible. I even doubt man ever went to space now, some moon landing videos have been proven by expects to be a hoax. Watch them on you-tube for yourself and see how idiotic his agents think we are. It might have been an attempt to make us sub-consciously question where and if heaven exists. Our whole lives have been programmed to make us submissive to evil without knowing it. It's only by the grace of God that we can break free. The end times are nearer than we think and all the signs in the book of Revelations of the bible align with A LOT of what is in the world news (though they tamper with that as well), and even our immediate environment. Please, people stop derailing from your Bibles, stop with your self-worshiping and money-idolising ways. Our pastors always fail to mention that John the Baptist had no materialistic things, he wore fur, ate wild honey and lived in the wilderness. All that from a man who was ordained to prepare the way for Christ. What an holy honor right? Yet, despite all this he was humble, a characteristic we can't say our pastors or we, have. We've been looking for salvation in all the wrong places, who/what are we serving or giving our souls to? Why don't we understand that Satan was giving authority by the most High God to rule the world we live in today on the condition that he doesn't take our souls forcefully (i.e why we have the Bible which brings awareness of right and wrong), did you really think he'd show his face or be direct with it to everyone? It takes looking into some subliminal messages (check out youtube for that as well as info on the New World Order) and linking a series of events, that is past, present and future ones.

The Bible states in Revelations that even to cloth or eat without the mark of the beast will be impossible and that nations will join and be using one currency, Well unknown to many, besides the euro that has already started. Check out the links below.

The truth hurts but it shall set us all free. Please pray for others as well as yourselves and let us be reading our bibles aggressively. It is, as i only recently discovered to be honest, the manual of life. Unless we've accepted the lie that there's no God, we need to start LIVING by faith. Money, friends and even family come and go, God stays the same and sits on the throne forever and ever. Amen. Thanks and God bless.
