Fuel-Subsidy Removal: Air transport to be grounded by Monday

After an emergency meeting today by the three unions in the aviation industry, the Air Transport Services Senior Staff Association of Nigeria, (ATSSAN), the Nation Union of Air Transport Employee, (NUATE), and the National Association of Aircraft Pilots and Engineer, (NAAPE), Nigeria Air space will be closed and Air transport grounded as NLC commences a nation wide strike on Monday.

The three unions have directed their members to withdraw their services by 12 midnight on Sunday January 8th. #OccupyNigeria

Jonathan i hope you dey see wetin you and your crook colleagues they do?No good roads, electricty for business na zero, and you dey remove subsidy. You wil be remembered as one of the worst presidents with the formers who have stolen the blessed resources of this nation.I hope the children children carry the shame of all the other presidents that have made the people of this country pass through pains and sufferings all because of the greed of our leaders, senate included.

You will all spend all your ill gotten wealth on the illness that cannot be cured on earth and wake up in hell to dine with the devil.
I hope your children driving luxury cars read this piece.

Na wa o. Nigeria is a highly confused place. I hope Nigerians who went home for the holiday are on their toes. If not, they will be stranded in Nigeria for over 2 months. My heart bleeds for Naija.

Hw will this affect Jonathan? He has his presidential fleet, has a presidential wing. Neva flies commercial. We are still suffering ourselves.
Publish all d phone numbers of d senators, within a minute netwrks are scrambling to dash them anotha sim.
Everything we do is against ourselves. Those in aso rock won't feel a thing. I keep wondering d essence of dis #occupynigeria thingy. 1 week now and no response frm FG. When u get d liver to #occupyAsoVilla then I'll knw u're serious.

Not sure exactly how this move helps. Aren't we the people, the ones who will be most affected? The powers that be fly private any way. Shouldn't the aviation unions be concentrating on the kerosene as jet fuel issue that's adversely affecting a far wider section of people than the few who planned to fly on Monday?

This strike is really going to have a serious effect. Let's hope they won't backslide and call off the strike midnight to Monday. These are the kind of actions that will force the govt to listen to us.

Am in total support, just feel bad for the people who have to go back to sch. I hope they will not get cold feet and call off the strike. This is what we get when we let a melon dimwit be our president. I hope he gets diarrhea today and runs out of tissue.
