Whereabouts of former bank bosses uncovered. What Tony Elumelu, Jim Ovia and Akinfemiwa do now

When CBN Governor, Lamido Sanusi announced a 10-year maximum tenure for bank MDs and gave till 31st July 2010 for implementation, it affected three MDs. Tony Elumelu of UBA, Zenith Bank's Jim Ovia, and Skye Bank's Akinsola Akinfemiwa.

Tony Elumelu: The former MD of UBA is currently the chairman of Heirs Holdings. HH for short is into financial service, natural resources, infrastructure and health care. He's also the chairman of Tony Elumelu Foundation, a non-profit institution dedicated to the promotion and celebration of excellence in business leadership and entrepreneurship across Africa.

 
Jim Ovia: The former MD of Zenith now devotes enormous attention to his other business, Visafone and The Civic Centre. There is also his foundation which propagates the message of entrepreneurship and IT: ICT Foundation for Youth Empowerment.

   


Akinsola Akinfemiwa: Rendering financial advisory services, training bankers, and portfolio management, consulting  for both individuals and corporate organization are basically what the former MD of Skye Bank does now.
