Photos of the Corps Member who died of Lassa fever in Cross River State

Onwuegbuzie Stanley Samuel, an NYSC member deployed to Cross River, died of Lassa fever disease at the University of Calabar Teaching Hospital (UCTH) on Thursday, May 12th.

Late Onwuegbuzie hailed from Aboh Ogwashi Ukwu, Delta State and studied Sciences & Researches at Babcock University.



The state Commissioner for Health, Dr Inyang Asibong, who disclosed this to journalists last Friday in Calabar, said that he was serving in Obubra before his death.

He shouldn't have stayed back in obubra, he should have either worked his service out, or redeployed...I was posted in crossover 2009-2010..our camp was in that same obubra dead town..worked my service straight to calabar...from camp you can always work on your posting....so sad...may his soul rip....if the govt can't take care the citizens of this country well, while the serve there country...if the ask for my opinion will say the shud, scrap NYSC out...sick and tired of good citizens of these country loosing there lives... Al bcos of serving this the country, not funny at all.RIP bro!

That obubura is fond of taking corpses life, I served there over 17 years ago ,its either cholera or any other, please do we get to hear in this country where all these rich men children that schooled abroad served, or is their certificated given to them at home? I know with Nigerian anything is possible. Have they been to any camp or service is only for the poor

when a corp members asks for redeployment and it's not granted. I have a case going on presently in Kano now.
