Detroit Police have told the BBC that Chris Cornell's death is being investigated as a possible suicide.
A report from Detroit’s WXYZ says Cornell’s body was discovered on the bathroom floor of his hotel room at MGM Grand Detroit after a show Wednesday night. This was after Cornell’s wife allegedly called a family friend to check on the singer .
TMZ is reporting that when the family friend forced his way into Cornell's room, he found him with a band around his neck. There was reportedly no blood at the scene and police suspect it's suicide.

Sadly, so many grunge rock musicians ended up either overdosing on drugs or committing suicide e.g. Kurt Cobain (Nirvana), Scott Weiland (Stone Temple Pilots) and Layne Staley (Alice in Chains)
are we sure that this is not a murder made to look like a suicide.
