According to reports, Michael knew that Badmus was an armed robber and had asked him on two occasion to stop. Badmus reportedly shot Michael dead with a local pistol over fear that he might expose him someday.
Confirming the incident, the command spokesman Abimbola Oyeyemi said
“The Divisional Police Officer led his men to the scene and the suspect was arrested. Investigation showed he is a member of a gang terrorizing residents. Police Commissioner Ahmed Iliyasu has ordered that he be transferred to FSARS for investigation. The body of the deceased has been taken to a morgue for autopsy"he said
