Rivers State Govt condemns Governor Ganduje's "If they shoot you, take cover and shoot them" comments

Rivers State Commissioner for Information and Communication, Dr Austin Tam-George, has condemned the governor of Kano State, Alhaji Mohammed Ganduje, for inciting violence in Rivers State, during his speech at the APC campaign rally in Port Harcourt Thursday. Governor Ganduje had charged APC supporters to resort to violence during the rerun elections in Rivers State on Saturday, saying:

"If they shoot you, take cover and shoot them."
Dr Tam-George described the comments as "shameful and egregious invitation to violence by the Kano State governor "

The Commissioner called on the Inspector General of Police to immediately remove governor Ganduje from Rivers State, in order forestall the breakdown of law and order in the state. Continuing, Dr Tam-George blamed the Minister for Transportation, Mr Rotimi Amaechi for importing thugs and Boko Haram fighters, disguised as APC supporters, to cause mayhem in Rivers State.

The Commissioner urged the people of Rivers State to resist any acts of electoral fraud by the police, INEC and APC before, during and after the elections on Saturday.

Wike and co please chill out, since he, wike came into office Rivers state has known no peace, killings here and there. I know of an entire community who its indigenes almost all ran away because of political killings. The statement simply means, 'be vigilant and defensive so you don't die untimely death' I don't think there is anything wrong with that!
