Urgent help for homeless woman with sick child...

A LIB reader spotted this homeless woman in tears with a very sick looking child by the road side just by Tantalizers at Allen round-about in Ikeja. Please if there's anyone around the area who can help her ..

Hey how can i be of help?

Most times when we walk into big malls, boutiques, supermarkets, we never question their prices. We pay exactly what we see on the price tags and even hand out tips to the staff.
But the moment we are out of these shops and want to buy banana, our bargaining game gets off to the roof. Poor widow with 12 hungry children at home tells you banana is N100. She even takes out her time to explain how difficult it was for her to even buy it, how the economy is so tough.
But we insist that if it's not N50, we are not paying. Some of us even step back into our cars and make to drive away. But because 'half bread is better chin chin', this woman is forced to call you back and sell to you at little or no gain. In her heart, she cries, she's worried about how she'll survive with her children. She silently reassures herself that 'It's well.
God will definitely provide.'' While you happily chop the luscious banana. Take some seconds out and think about this, guys. Please don't bargain hard with small vendors like this. They do business not to buy designer bags, Gucci shoes but to LIVE and EAT!

Someone should pls help, though most of these people can lie. Many of them live in Ipodo, Ikeja and they come to d road esp around LASUTH pretending to be I'll, they are fraudsters. They actually block the chance of those that really need d help.

Dear Linda,

The woman in this post is the biggest begging scammer I have ever seen in Nigeria. Ojodu-Berger used to be her office few months ago. She wept that she needed just 1000naira to buy drugs for her sick child, several people gave her money but to my surprise she was back the following day asking for 1000 again.

When the Ojodu-Berger business was not booming she moved to Ikeja secretariat close to the express and continue her crying-begging business. I am sure when she discovered that she has been busted thats why she moved to another location.

Nigerians and Lagosians in particular should disregard her plea for assistance because she is a scam.

Thanks.

I don't doubt this, Lagos is filled with them as I stated earlier. Lagosians watch out there are scammers everywhere esp near LASUTH

you not helping at all? said...

you soo funny...you have strength to post this stuff but you cant make arrangement to help her..behave yourself pls..start the race don't dust your shoes and refuse to wear them

I saw this woman few hours ago at that spot. She was having pedicure done by one of these hausa boys. I don't think someone with a very sick child will be doing that. I know the lady Deji is talking about at Ojodu Berger but didn't wait to see if she is the same person. I have been duped severally by these people. I give them more than what they ask for after listening to their stories, only to find them at the same spot the next day. But will still continue to be good to others because I know some truly needy people are out there.

Anonymous said...

True. I know the lady you are talking about.
