Photos from Nigeria's first Garden and Flower show..

Didn't get a chance to attend the first ever Garden and Flower Show in Nigeria? It held at the Banquet Hall of Oriental Hotel Lagos and had flower lovers and enthusiasts in attendance. Exhibitors had flowers and potted plants for sale and ornaments to match. It was a lovely laid back, fun and classy evening hosted by WJSeries and the Garden and Flower Club of Nigeria.

See more photos from the event after the cut...

Good to know you lot got horticulturists down there too,I'm a huge sucker for flowers. Why the fuck do people keep telling me Nigeria is backwards? The only backwardness I noticed during my 2month stay in Abuja were the women with protruding back sides, every other backwardness I was fully prepared for(electricity, traffic, etc). Can't wait to get back there,Bless!

Am a huge fan of flowers. It would be nice to learn some horticulture. Maybe like a crash course for two weeks or something.

Naija copy copy, Chelsea flower show. Why can't we create our own idea

I love flowers so much. So beautiful. I wish I was there. I hope they are affordable. What we need in Naija are nurseries where you plant beautifyul tropical plants and sell them to stores like the walmart equivalent so that Jane and John Does can purchase. You will be amazed how flowers can transform a neighborhood that looks battered.
