‘Pose for a picture, ‘cos your star has
just risen! Here, have your gold star.’ These are the words hundreds of young
Nigerians strove to hear as they mounted the podium before judges for a
one-minute shot at stardom at the Sterling Bank sponsored Spirited Actor
Auditions held recently. Continue...
We all can spot sloppy acting, laugh at
poor line delivery and even write off people with no ‘charisma’ or ‘stage
presence’ from the comforts of our couches at home but do you have what it
takes to stand before Hollywood actors Tracy Moore, Rockmond Dunbar and Hollywood
Producer Samad Davis to woo them into paying you some attention?
Not so simple is it? Well, some determined people
are definitely giving it their best shot.
Here is a little secret- all the judges
want to see is raw talent, that ‘it’ factor with or without any formal
training.
So, the search continues for the 5
Nigerians who will be jetting off to New York with their Ghanaian counterparts for
a chance to be on the same movie set as a co-actor with Morris Chestnut and a
one-year acting contract with a Hollywood Producer.
Catch the series on Africa Magic
Entertainment at 20:00 CAT and 19:00 CAT from Sunday May 26th or on
Africa Magic from Saturday August 4th at 20:30 CAT.

This people are funny sha. Whats going on with the one that are here already? they barely get any roles anymore, not even straight to dvd movies. Many of them are now going to act in Nollywood movies. They are there talking about next star. So he gets to act with Morris and then what? Thank God for Tyler Perry , even African Americans don't get roles due to racism, the directors (Spike Lee) cant produce big budget movies becos no one is willing to put the money down unless you are Tarantino or Steven Spielberg. Abeg make them leave all that nonsense wey them they do and tackle the real issue(s)
