Lagos Flood has so far killed over 25 people

This is a wakeup call to sort this issue out now. The drainage system in Lagos state (and many other states) is so poor. What a horrible way to die. May they RIP.
I agree, the drainage system and the poor planning or lack of it in many towns and cities in the country needs to be re-visited soonish and plans put in place. In other countries, there would be disaster funds set-up to help the victims but in this case, where do you start.
Government should do something about the drainage system just read on a friend's page on fb about a young couple that drowned on Sunday while returning from church. Their car ran into a canal and both died. The couple had a son who's only a few months old. Very sad story. May their souls rest in peace.
