"This happened at CMS area of Lagos this morning. This LASTMA officer stopped our staff bus for no reason. People came down from the bus and pleaded with him to let us go but he insisted that we must turn and follow the alternative route. When our bus was about to move he started displaying stupid acts (you can see the picture above).

i dont believe this story!!! i know this LASMA official veryyy well he has been in the same cms spot since i can remember, he is very extra jovial and coordinates traffic efficiently. I bet your staff bus driver must have jumped lanes and tried stunts to beat traffic hence his behavior. hello Linda,before you publish a story do proper background check. This lastma in question is a well known lastma who controls traffic along that Onikan/Check point Axis in VI, this story about him stopping the staff bus for no reason is a lie...the staff bus was at fault,they tried to overtake the traffic by jumping the line thereby causing traffic to those who are going to ikoyi and those who have lined up. The truth is that he is doing his job very well and people want to tarnish that for him. Please don't cause this man his job because his doing a good job.

It's actually between the bridge that leads to ikoyi and VI, your bus passed the wrong way actually. Don't hide that. Leave the Lastma with the faces, Do the right thing next time

This guy is the only serious looking lastma officer I have seen in lagos. Every morning on the same spot,doing his job without fear or favour. We should all learn to obey traffic rules and everyone will be good.

I think is high time we let people do/know the right thing, the LASTMA involved in this case is one of the most active and dedicated officers in Lagos State, he does not just arrest people, he warn people first, the particular officer had assisted me at that spot when I had little fault on my car, I believe for him to have sent your bus to another route, it means you have disobeyed him. Am very sure the driver is one of rough drivers that always disobey traffic laws.
I will appreciate it, if necessary action can be taken on this issue against the driver and the disobedient staff that sent the picture to tarnish the image of the LASMA.
