I simply want the ask why the area boys,agberos etc in other parts of Nigeria who didn't go to school have not turn jihadists too,since our writer here is blaming it on education. The fundamental issue is the extremist expression of their religious belief that is Islam. Religion has a great influence on people so this should not be underestimated by trying to cry foul saying the lack of education is a fuel for terrorist behaviour. So oga writer go back and write something more objective and true. Having said this,BH existence and activities should be of great concern to all Nigerians.
They have schools even for free. They just refuse to go there. They prefer following their cows about rather than waste time in classrooms.

Interesting stats, dunno how he came by them though, but I don't know what else, is expected of government to do, I served in the North, Governtment through intervention schemes have built a number of schools, have done sensitization programs, have reduced cut off marks for Northerners writing Jamb, Adamawa state for example has more tertiary institutions than many states in the south. I still don't get what the Bokoharam cause is, cow if it's say no to western education then why bomb religious houses. If it's political? To what end?

Educated people have a lower likelihood of being brainwashed into mass murder for the sake of "religion". So he does have a solid point, the northern government should look into providing education not just for the children but also for adults.
