Dampte, Cold Juice open MTV EMA Week in Belfast
African born rap artist Dampte last night opened the official MTV EMA week kicking off the events leading up to the MTV EMA award ceremonies on November 6th, 2011 Performing with Dampte was Cold Juice (CJ). Both artists are signed to Bugatti Music Group. The event was held at the Oh Yeah Music Centre in with a live audience.

Kim Kardashian filed for divorce Monday morning, after 72 days of not-so-wedded bliss to Kris Humphries... TMZ has learned. We're told even though the marriage was short, she is not seeking an annulment. It's a garden variety divorce, in which Kim cites "irreconcilable differences."Ryan Seacrest, the producer of her E! reality show, today tweeted:

Frustrated HIV Patient Bathes Counsellor With Acid
On Friday Oct 21, 2011, the most unfortunate thing happened to a nurse at the Rivers State School of Health, Port harcourt. An HIV patient bathed his counsellor and staff of the health institution, Mrs Ibuwari George, in acid.
The attacker (a man in his forties) had scheduled an appointment with his counsellor that day, for further counselling on the effects of the drugs he was taking, and not suspecting any ulterior motive, Mrs George, who is a counsellor for HIV infected mothers and children agreed to the session. A few minutes into the meeting, the dying HIV patient, without provocation, poured a whole tin of acid on the unsuspecting nurse.

They only mentioned Ghana, what about the thousands of students in Malaysia (I hear there are so many of them there) in Europe, in India, in the US etc, paying trillions of Naira to get quality education. Meanwhile, you will hardly find foreign students in Nigeria. Obviously there's need to reform the education system in Nigeria. So instead of complaining about money leaving Nigeria, they should do something about improving the quality of education in this country, so parents will stop sending their kids abroad.

Port Harcourt Youths take to daylight robbery as a protest against wealthy citizens
Niger Delta youths, who were not part of the Federal and state govt amnesty programmes, have now taken to the streets, robbing in broad day light, forming armed robbery gangs and terrorizing rich citizens in the city. Some of the gangs wear military camouflage uniforms and carry sophisticated weapons when operating and are said to be ruthless. So many lives have been lost in their operation...
Hopefully the government will get these youths off the streets by including them in their amnesty programmes.
Governor Sullivan Chime denies impregnating sister in law

A few weeks ago, the social media was agog with allegations of the Governor of Enugu State, Sullivan Chime, impregnating his wife's younger sister, Ebere Igwe, a young lady in her mid-20's. The relationship between the governor and his in law allegedly began some months after he married his second wife, Clara Chime in 2008, having divorced his first wife.
According to the rumours, a few months ago, Ebere allegedly approached her sister and told her she was carrying Gov Chime's child, which almost killed the first lady. Ebere has supposedly given birth to a baby for the governor. But the governor is denying everything. Here's what he had to say about the allegations.
I can tell you that my sister in law is one of the most decent human beings I have ever seen. Why they chose to rubbish her, I don't know. The truth is, no such happened. Nobody had any baby boy for me. As a matter of fact, the young girl is getting married this December to an Onitsha man and was actually staying with this man when they alleged she was in my house in the village nursing a baby for me. So, the story is all nonsense.

I met her at her sister's wedding. I came because of the groom actually. He was a client of mine when I was working in the bank. This was July 14th 2007. I reluctantly attended the guy's wedding and when I came, it was almost done. I wanted to see the groom, say hi and go. The first person I saw was Nkechi. I asked her the whereabouts of the groom and she took me to him. Afterwards, she and I exchanged pleasantries and exchanged phone numbers. Now, we are married.Obiwon's wife Nkechi Ezeife just graduated from Nnamdi Azikiwe University where she read Banking and Finance.
I think I need to start going to weddings o. Since women are meeting husbands there...:-). But usually I avoid weddings. I feel like it's one of the most boring gatherings ever! The last wedding I went to, I nearly pulled the weave from my head...:-)

Nigeria Police Kill & Publicly Display Kidnap Suspects Bodies in Eket

Investigations by SaharaReporters indicate that the suspected kidnappers were executed by the police in cold blood, raising concerns about the legal powers of the police to act as investigators, prosecutors, judges and implementers of judgments.
Two police sources in Eket confirmed the incident, and said that the men died in a routine operation against kidnappers.
But a police informant told our correspondent that, contrary to the official police version, the suspects were assembled from different locations and executed in Eket Police Division.
“It is shocking and cruel that the police would execute people without properly handing them over for prosecution, and then create a mindless exhibition of their bodies,” said a human rights lawyer in Akwa Ibom. He added that, unless citizens recognized the dangers of such jungle justice, the police could easily kill innocent people by tagging them kidnappers.Warning...very graphic...if you have the stomach, then continue to see the photos..
