Ruggedman Launches His Twentieth September Wear

The rapper officially launched his fashion line - Twentieth September Wear (T.S.W) on Saturday 29th, October, 2011, at XL Lounge, in Lagos.

Not only is he making clothes and shoes, he's also making wrist watches. Say what you like, but this is highly commendable. And the watches look cool. Big congrats to you man.

The shoe represent the name of the designer(rugged), this guy need to speak to proper designers not igbotic/abamade shoe cobblers.

well de problem with some nigerians they feel inferior by their ownself, one let go straight 2 de issue at hand ruggedy get ur hustle on and create an empire 4 urself as it's right now, because de end shall alway tell, with this 1 or 2 persons have just be employed,so wat are we talkin about. human, economical and capital dev, dis is part of wat it mean,he has just make his quota 4 it, now when 20 artist or 20 individual dose dis i quess more dan 100 to 500 nigerians are been employed,to make 9ja great i think and i know is going or most be a collective work and ideas . let me quote wat one nigeria hon. said i think he is from niger delta, i know my quotation is not completely right de way he said it on ginggle of ait tv, but i'm tryin to reflete on de gentleman's point, he said and i quote "the body dat ascertain de betterment of nigeria lies in all of us".i used de medium 2 appeal 2 all nigerians in home and abroad we need to contribute our quota 2 dev. of nigeria , of course de nigeria govt. have failed, nigeria youth should do somethin because the question we have being asking our parent so dat our own children should not ask us de same. any time i go to nigeria i feel sad for de inadequate infastructures which is de due responsibility of de govt, well i do tell my friends any time i'm back from nigeria that m.m airport look like wharehouses of supermarket of some supermarkets in some part of western world, de was the same thing femi kuti said when he was interviewed by a nigerian presenter inside a holland airport he told de presenter dat nigeria international airport look like "buka" compare 2 wat both of them are seein there. well i'm i'm not tryin 2 create too much talk, but thats wat it is, i'm not sayin nigeria is bad but certain things need to be done by de govt, home is home, well i welcome any body criticization on my coments, tanx 4 reading.

"rugged man has tried", "rugged man welldone","rugged man more grease to your elbow"...etc.. that is all will be heard from people but how many will actually go out there to buy sept 20 wear..?

As silly as we are, we would still save our 6 months salary, fly to Dubai or UK and pay a ridiculous amount of money on some "high street" shoes or clothing that were probably manufactured by the same folks in china or Malaysia that did rugged man's stuff.

I have a guy in Lagos that does crazy shoes, i mean his creations are cool.

I say this cos I still rock a couple of pairs he made for me in UK and i have received mad complements on them & People actually find it hard to believe that the shoe is 100% hand
made and of Nigerian origin.

meanwhile if i present a ted baker shoe for instance and the Nigerian shoe, the typical naijah man will go for the ted baker shoe @ a more expensive price even when the Nigerian shoe matches it in terms of quality and design.

Abegi...we are our own worst enemies.

....and to people that are saying his desings are a copy..give me one idea of clothing or shoes being done today that is original..difference you will find is in name and price as per designs..there is nothing new under the sun cos its all been done before!

Imitation is sheer flattery...

If you are going to copy at least do it well.

Love the shoe in the picture!

If the price is right, we would buy but if it's too expensive (maybe he wants it limited) then... hmmm! I would have appreciated the use of African fabrics like SEGI's (wink)
