wow....... this is nice, yet heart touching, how i wish Nigerian girls will understand that the grass is not greener there in Europe esp. Benin girls.

with specials like this and the stories making rounds, there is no longer the need for the excuse that folks didnt know. I guess some really didnt know, but its now KNOWN EVERYWHERE. so i think more people should wise up. if someone comes to your parents or you saying they have a job for you in Europe, bullshit.

well, there are still the ones that go there knowingly and willingly. SMH.

and as for the person that tried to argue with me on the other post about stating most of the Nigerian girls come from Edo State (not all, but most) listen to around 3 and half minutes. mtcheww!

thanks, very interesting. it seems they went to the dirtiest area of Benin to film, typical of when they go to Africa. lol

this is also another reason why I dont believe in going to church. a bunch of judgmental fakers. even the supposed "men of God" do the worst things imaginable, yet, they try and tell you how you should be living your life. mtchewwww
imagine pastors/churches trying to cash in on the trafficking. makes me sick.

This is gory. The report is not tainted. Very true stuff. I went on holiday to Milan, Napoli where many Naijas are. What i saw is unexplainable. How sad.

@Alicia is right on all points. There really is no excuse anymore. Anyone that falls for these shysters is either exteremly gullible or happy to prostitute themselves.
As to the fake pastors who prey on these people, the evil they perpetuate will come back to them. Our God is not asleep and it's just a matter of time before they get their comeuppance.

see how naija faces are filled with poverty written all over.......a big shame to africa........

our churches can pray till eternity....except fashola is made the president 2014.........africa will go down in ashes....

Where are all the people who were on my case for mentioning bini girls in part 1? You might want to go get on the person who did this report. How dare she say the things she said about most of the girls being from Benin? You guys should stop being in denial :)

With that being said, I think it's a sad situation. I remember Eki Igbinedion tried to do something about this issue years ago but the people were against her for deporting their children back to Nigeria. Some of the girls know what they are going to do, while some are tricked into it. It's poverty that's the cause of all this mess.

There are many "italos" as they are called who come back and build houses and seem to be doing well. It's easy to fall into the trap of wanting to be like them, not knowing that they were prostitutes back in Italy. Well, most people know they were prostitutes, but in naija money talks, so it doesn't matter.

I don't know what can be done to stop this mess. I think the best thing is making sure people are aware of exactly what is going on, so innocent girls won't be tricked. Although there are some you will tell and they will refuse to believe you because they want to travel abroad by all means.

I wonder why Nigeria is always painted as a Poverty ridden nation by Al-jazeera. The investigator was bent on proving that acute poverty is the determination for traffic girls. Economic taught us that demand causes supply.
Trafficking of Russian and other exotic European girls (Yugoslavia, france, spain etc) are in high demand in the UK. They legalize this trade by working as escorts but no one talks about them. I wonder why Nigeria is always under attack from all this foreign media.

Sad, I hope these girls find peace. The trafficking of babies is also highly disturbing. With the amt of pedophiles out there it's scary to even think what some of these babies will endure.

I know it is upsetting sometimes to see only the poverty focused on, but I think it is a good thing when global news outlet show these pictures it should embarrass those in power and motivate them to do better for the nation. That school was a dump, to think that is an institution of learning is mind boggling. What could you possibly learn in such an unsanitary environment?

Watching this made me so sad.

When will us nigeria move from this poverty, witchcraft, Juju mentality?

These are the things holding the country back.

May God Almighty have mercy on us.

The Education Minister that was not named in the documentary should be arrested by the EFCC. Ole!

Some past/present Council chairmen and some past Governors of Edo State should be prosecuted. What did they do with all the monies in Edo State? The poverty level in Edo State is high.

@Madam Sting, Eki Igbinedion's campaign was just a PR gimmick while her husband milked the state dry.

It did not make sense at all. He looted the treasury. In fact, he embezzled 19 billion Naira.

The video report is so sad, how can you say this is common knowledge when the people in these places don't have access to internet or to cable to watch information like this. It is the local media that should be bringing attention to this by making jingles on local radio stations about what is really going on

But with poverty and money at stake most girls still want to do this. And its difficult for the girls to come back since they have being put under an oath that they will die if they leave their pimps, who wants to die ehen. The roots of this thing runs deep. If there are schools and jobs for people to do, they won't be doing this.

In spite of the fake pastors, at least it was pastor who prayed for deliverance for Gloria, there are always goats among sheep and that should not be anyone's excuse for not going going to church or serving God

This is what the society of Nigerian women should be paying more attention too, going back to their villages to empower women and fix schools.

This problem is all over the world including the US, its not only Nigeria.

May God help us all.

youths live you have started oh! pls eave bini girls out of this matter! mscheww ocho'okwu1

madam sting yes that the girl featured in this video is a bini girl doesnt mean that all the prostitutes in italy are bini babes! i just dislike the fact that people judge others based on stereotypes! i know bini girls are involved in it but other tribes in naija have their fair share too!

Me from london said...

@ madame sting is eitheir you are deciving your self or you are just being foolish. It is clear you are from edo state but you are not bini that is why you want this to be a bini problem. The film maker said majority of them are from benin city. The truth of the matter is majority of this girls are from your side of edo state who live in benin city. Maybe at the begining they were more bini not now.And the last time i checked benin city was not just for only bini people all sort of people live their. Apart from lagos, Abuja, jos and maybe port-high court benin is the most cosmopolitant city in nigeria go and do your home work. That is why many people come from your side of edo state to even do prostitution in benin city. You will hadly find a bini person doing prostitution in benin city. But you can easily find other tribe doing it. As for ALICIA you need to stop swearing to make you point God!!. Those sort of language should be left at the street for street people. I hope you are not street person because you kind of make more sense than madam sting even though your last post you refer to was kind of finger pointing. And you were not too happy because i said a lot of igbo people were in italy doing prostitution as well Why?. Any way, Like i said before people should stop pointing finger quckly as the prostitution that is going in places like abuja, lagos and port-high court is just as bad. This is done by local girls, university girls and society girls(The last two call thier own RUNS who are kidding)PROSITUTION NA PROSITUTION pure and simple.
I hope God save them all and make them clean again.

This is what happens when poverty stricken people are forced to get married per society's expectations and make alot of babies in the process when they can barely afford to feed themselves much less additional mouths! I wash my hands off Nigerians and all the mess we sometimes get in as a people due the to poor life decisions we make.

wow...thats all i could say after watching it...the power of investigative journalism. The head of NAPTIP in enugu sure did me proud when she broke down the issue...truly poverty should not take the humanity out of you.

Alicia says... said...

@me from London, i didnt get mad when you said some are Igbo, i just said you SAYING THAT was irrelevant because i already know that. i said most of them are from Edo State, is that a lie? but you folks were acting as if i said ALL of them are from Edo State, and had to go on your silly rampage by stating other tribes, LMFAO. i guess i struck a nerve.

NaijaScorpio said...

@Me from London: I'm finding it difficult to believe that you are educated and can actually read and COMPREHEND. Please show me where i mentioned that is was just a bini problem? What is my side of Edo State? How do you know i'm not bini?

You are obviously one of those people who like to talk to just talk. Please go and sit down somewhere. Talking about me deceiving myself or being foolish. What are u going on about?

Just for the record, i never said this was just a bini issue, or just an Edo issue. I responded to a comment Galore made in part 1 of this video. So please, read, TRY your best to comprehend BEFORE coming here to be Madame Stinging me.

me from london said...

@Alicia you did not struck my nerve at all it takes more than a post or a comment to do that. Do you think this is the first time I am hearing that there are a bit more of edo people in Italy doing prostitution? Give me a break. One thing I will give to you is this you have acknowledged that there are other tribes doing prostitution in Italy which some people will not acknowledge because their way is the tribal way. All they say is that it is edo People doing it as if they invented prostitution. That is why I always bring them back to the prostitution that is happening in Nigeria. CASE CLOSE FROM MY PART I WILL NOT READ YOUR RESPONDS TO THIS BECAUSE IF I DO I WILL WANT TO REPLY. AND I DO NOT HAVE THE TIME AS I HAVE BETTER THINGS TO DO. NICE ARGUMENT THOUGH.

me from london said...

@Madame sting I really do not want to waste too much time on you because I can see through you even though I cannot see you, I do not know you and I will never know you. You can backtrack all you like but you know how all this started. Let me remind you if you pretend not to know. Someone said something about where the majority of these girls were from in edo state which is the truth and you knew it. But because you did like that you decided to say that the majority of them were Bini. You said something about if I was education. As for the education I have been there done that and getting the reward from it. You said you are a medical student well I pray for your future patients if you continue like this because in medicine you need a good character and a brain to be able to comprehend issues in order for you to treat and relate well with your patient. And tribalism is a NO, NO, in medicine. I wish you good luck though.
CASE CLOSE FROM MY PART I WILL NOT READ YOUR RESPONDS TO THIS BECAUSE IF I DO I WILL WANT TO REPLY. AND I DO NOT HAVE THE TIME AS I HAVE BETTER THINGS TO DO.

I remember visiting Milan, Rome and Naples with my Aunt to buy leather goods. The situation was shocking and embarrassing. Nigerian girls everywhere prostituting... at the train station, on street corners, even at McDonalds... it was horrible. It was so bad that some old italian man even approached me to ask how much for my Aunt (a 40+ year old woman) because he just assumed all black women are prostitutes and all black men are their pimps. I vowed never to visit Italy again by choice. I have young sisters and the shame was just too much.
