Mensah is a ghanian name, so why is she going on and on about them all being nigerians? I'm not saying nigerians are guiltless but its pointless to generalize them all as nigerians. Please she should go and sleep jare. Bloooooody SHEdiot!!!!!

Aside: did you hear the islamic chanting in the beginning. I zip my mouth on muslims everywhere being violent!

Why suffer this much in another man's country? Go back home nah!

If the Tina girl refused to speak, why are you so sure she's nigerian? pls shutup!

lmaoooo! @ if God says I will stay.

Interesting program, though we know about this already. It's very sad to see how some africans are suffering abroad. A man who hasn't seen his family for 23 years. I remember years ago seeing a lot of Nigerian prostitutes in Holland. Trust me they deported them all back. To see that in Italy they can just walk free like that makes me wonder..

riri said...

i guess the reason why they can't go back is because they believe in the dumb juju oath that they took and because their families practically sold them into slavery.

i don't know how this problem can be solved because it borders on so many thing. Poverty, illiteracy, stupid, greedy leaders...

It is so painful...

it is really sad seeing Nigerians suffer in Italy like that. and that man who hasn't seen his family for 23 years, mayne! it broke my heart. and to think that these people went to Italy in search of greener pastures...
I think people from other African countries are in Italy too but what baffles me is that they keep claiming to be Nigerians.
after seeing this video i have more than enough reasons to thank God. some people are really suffering!!!

Hi there Linda,Please try and get us the concluding part of the Prostitution and Women trafficking in Italy:The Nigerian Connection.

On another note,Judge not for the measure by which you Judge, you shall be Judged.
To the Legitimately trafficked,i empathise.

Really though, can we say for a 100% sureness that some of these Women/Girls didnt know what they were going to Italy to do in the First instance?
Because, this ITALY and PROSTITUTION story has been rife in Nigeria for something. So if they are ignorant to that fact, they may have been picked up from the Village which is impossible.

Such a shame, what hope is there for the Wife and Children of the Man who has spent 23years in Italy. And he was interviewed in a CRACK HOUSE,so i assume he dabbles abit with getting HIGH!

All in all,we must give thanks to GOD for our situation for there is always someone else much worse.

Am out.

Hmmm it seems someone is in denial. Nigerian prostitutes are out in their numbers across the globe....most prostitutes in Denmark used to be Danish until the NIgerians moved in, fact, though I believe it is due to the population size of 150 mn plus they are bound to be the majority.....

This comes down to bad government, poorly planned families and lack of jobs. This should be a wake up call for ALL Africans, why must we continue to be happy with bottom of the barrel? We, and especially our governments (or lack of them), have let people down. If it isn't prostitution, it's thousands risking their lives every day to go to Southern Europe, for what?

Misdirected priorities at a personal and governmental level. Bringing helpless children into the world to suffer.

Too sad

Madame Sting said...

Galore....how do u know what you are saying? So if they are Edo ladies, they must be from Uromi and Auchi? What about the bini ladies? U are just an idiot. Don't let me catch you in real life cos i might be tempted to dash you some slaps. lol.

Seriously though, I bet you are one of the traffickers that's why you know for sure, abi? If you dare deny it, then you are a liar from the pit of hell.

Madame Sting said...

Linda, please try hooking us up with the part 2 when it comes out. I watched this yesterday on another blog and i was searching for the second part but i don't think it's out yet. Thanks.

@ galore.. See as you dull. Who ever told you benue na hausa place. Mtsheeww

Anonymous said...

galore - you are very stupid from saying they are all from edo, you are an idiot.

Madame sting - hold it there, because they mentioned Auchi and Uromi (you might be from either) does not give you the latitude to include bini girls.

I tire for the kain people wey dey comment on this Linda blog. Mchewww

After watching this, I now realize how lucky we are in the UK and US. Italy is really terrible. Horrible!

The Nigerian government should do more to educate ignorant people, not to allow their sons and daughters to be tricked to Italy and end up working as prostitutes and drug couriers.

Anonymous said...

@Madam Sting, I know for a fact that some Madams are of Benin origin. I was once approached and I refused and continued to suffer in Nigeria.

I was called a loser for several years and almost committed suicide. Today, I thank god for my life because I got a visa to the US. It all boils down to greed.

Anonymous said...

@ Annon- congrats on your visa to d USA.. I hope you know that its not as rosy as you'd think ...

Madame Sting said...

@ Anonymous August 15, 2011 12:44 PM: It gives me the latitude o! More than the latitude sef. Where do you think the girls are primarily from? Eh? Where? I know you are a Bini girl or guy or whatever. Cool down. Let's call a spade a spade. Galore cannot just single out two ethnic groups and leave out the rest, ok.

If you tire for the kind people wey dey comment for Linda blog, abeg my sister close your eyes, no read their comment. You hear. Thank you.

@Anonymous 12.54: We are in agreement on that.

There is really no place like home. Get the opportunity to travel if you can but if no proper plans just go back.

ITALY should consider changing its laws on prostitution.

Let us pray for these people especially the ones who are genuinely trapped.

THIS DOCUMENTARY SHOULS BE SHOWN EVERYWHERE TO CREATE AWARENESS.

EVERYWHERE, CHURCHES, SCHOOLS, UNI, CLUBS, STREETS.

This has got to stop!!!!!

Most girls dont understand the suffering, they get lured, so they should see this, so they have a mental picture of the torture that awaits!!!

This is very sad. Surely life in Nigeria cannot be any worse than this?

What is it with being so ashamed to live in poverty in Nigeria yet we go to foreign countries and live below the poverty line.

This is just not right. We really need to look in the mirror and find answers as to why our once great nation has become the scum of Europe.

In the UK, its fraud, in Italy, prostitution. Come on, we are more than this. The number of educated Nigerian's I meet everyday. We need to sort this out one person at a time.

Really sad.

Alicia says... said...

there are other Africans in Italy, but Nigerians make up the majority.
galore, what is with your comment on "if they are hausa they are from benue or adamawa" seriously? lol. neither of those states are Hausa people.
and its true that the majority of them are from Edo, not all, but most. more than half, I'm sure.
but this is still an issue indirectly plaguing Nigeria as a nation. why cant Italy do something or change its laws, or deport all these heffas back to Nigeria?

Anonymous said...

Hmm......Badluck Jonathan o! Wetin you dey do for aso rock?

*ajalahtravel*

They should show their faces so that people back home will see what their children are doing in Italy. We all know what they do but by the time they are disgraced maybe they will stop. God help us!! PLEASE ARREST THE SO CALLED MADAMS

Miss Tina Knowles said...

The truth is most of these people are aware of what they're going into...Show this video to some desperate ladies who want to travel abroad, you'd be amazed at how many of them would willingly agree to such business of prostitution...

linda posting this things would not solve anything or maybe. africa has already failed.....except fashola becomes the next president nigerian president.........nigeria and the entire africa would go to hell.

Madame Sting said...

@Anonymous August 15, 2011 3:50 PM: Shut up? Now, why would i want to do that? lol. Nothing wrong with my mouth, and i would like to continue to use it. So no, even though u asked nicely, i won't shut up! And we both know there's nothing you can do about it.

Shut up....lol. That was funny sha. No one has told me to Shut up! in a long time.

This is really sad. I beleive that this is the fault of the leadership in Nigeria and Africa has a whole. The continent has resources that it can use to help better the life of the masses but the greedy few are pocketing billions of $$$.

An informative yet biased documentary that missed the opportunity to be objective rather than subjective. The assumption that all the illegal immigrants are from Nigeria should have been corroborated by asking the respondents and those interviewed to identify their country of origin.

I also find it difficult to understand why someone who is being taken to Italy to become a hair dresser did not smell a rat when she was asked for her blood sample and pubic hair for ritual purposes. something just does not add up in their stories.

Thanks for this video link. Its one thing to hear about it, but another to actually watch it.

Lets not go on and on about how many are Nigeria, because we can see that the vast majority are indeed Nigerians just by population alone.

Awareness is needed, by the community leaders, by parents, by churches, by you and me.

Its almost like being forced into a place of no return. These are young girls who are easily led and influenced. Now will they want to return home with nothing to show for it. Ultimately they know why they left and many now with children, dont either want their kids going back to suffer. So they feel justified in suffering on their behalf.
God help us all, we really need to be our brother's keeper...

saw this coming up on Aljeze......
what are people doing in Italian villages. Would they take this lifestyle from their own??

Yet more ate dying to go out there? God help us.

Anonymous said...

My heart bleed for my people. The town they are in look no more better than Lagos and they are living in squalor over there. At least if they were suffering financially in their own country they would have their family and friends around them, it would make their burdens easier because they would be surrounded by love.

Alicia says... said...

from the scene in the beginning it looks like they are in Nigeria with the number of Nigerians there. My God, its scary. I really pity these people. don't we have an ambassador to Italy? what is he doing about it?

Anonymous said...

PLEASE BEFORE SOME PEOPLE CONCLUDE ON EVERY GIRL OR WOMAN IN ITALY IS OR WAS A PROSTITUTE, WE HAVE DECENT FAMILIES LIVING HERE AND DO NOT KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT THIS STORY IN THE VIDEO. MANY NIGERIAN MEN CAME HERE WITH VISAS AND HAVE PERMANENT STAY PERMITS, THEY MARRIED THEIR WIVES FROM BACK HOME AND HAVE CHILDREN, MANY ONLY HEAR ABOUT THIS STORIES OF GIRLS WHO PROSTITUTE BUT HAVE NOT ACTUALLY SEEN THEM ON THE ROAD DOING IT. DO NOT GENERALIZE PLEASE. DECENT NIGERIANS/AFRICANS STILL LIVE HERE. THANK YOU.

There are alot of Nigerians in Italy fact. Are all the people featured on this documentary Nigerians? NO! There is nothing objective about this video: Objective is based on fact. And there is no fact in this documentary, just another biased documentary to give them something to talk about Nigeria.
I am sure there are alot of hard working Nigerians all over the world atleast am surrounded by them. Why has there never being a documentary about the positive side of Nigeria?? Na so so bad, bad. Na so we bad reach? Now Ghana or south Africa will right another stupid song.
Linda please lets keep celebrating the positive side of our beloved country, every country has its good and bad. Why do you think the Brits were embarrassed by the riots, because they know what that will do to their countries reputation, they are aware of the problem in their Britain but ignore them until the people rebelled. Nigerians are not bad people as people try to make out. I only see hard working Nigerians all around with, with good work ethics.

Madame Sting said...

@Anonymous August 16, 2011 3:09 PM: You know you just fooled yourself right? lol...mumu. You have no clue where i'm from. If you did, you would have saved urself the comment. Dey there dey support bad thing, ode x10. Since you are obviously an Edo chic, me and you both know the truth, so whether u include igbos or not, makes no difference.

Besides, i was responding to what Galore said, so cover ur mouth and face forward. FYI, since you are obviously daft, Benin is the city and Bini is the tribe, get it right.

Anonymous said...

While I don't believe that all of the prostitutes are Nigerians, Nigerians are well-represented amongst them and we need to be concerned as Nigerians and as human beings.

I would advise any Nigeria that is wanting to leave Nigeria in order to live in a foreign country to choose a country where they speak the language. It is hard to make it in a country where you do not speak the language. That is one main reason the prostitutes are at a distinct disadvantage.

Ultimately, I would rather remain in Nigeria than to pass through the suffering that I just saw in the video and to expose your children to abuse and death. If one is going to suffer like that, one might as well do so in their native country.

madam sting close ur mouth already jobless mofo habba let the matter rest! nawa oo by the way, some of those people are not nigerians oo

Anonymous said...

@madam sting u r obviously an edo chic! u just wanted to add benin people because galore mentioned ur tribe yeye girl!mscheww! im done replying u afterall it doesnt change the fact that u guys are also involved in the prostitution businesss! u guys should stop calling benin girls sha cos other tribes do it! donot generalize us abeg!

lol...Anonymous, anonymouses....fake people. Don't worry school starts for me on Monday, so i will become less jobless then. As for right now, you are right, i'm jobless so i can come here and play with you equally jobless people. We are all on the same level, abi? If you had so much to do, you won't be here Madame Stinging me up and down.

For the idiot that mentioned Benin people....i'll say it again, Benin is the place, Bini is the tribe. Stop fooling yourself, you hear. You should know better because you are a bini girl. Anyway, why are you guys so defensive? Is anything i said a lie? I could be a bini girl for all you know, so stop rapping opps and pretending like you don't know the truth.

Anonymous said...

Madame Sting and her fellow judgemental friend should stop generalising. Go and read the aljazeral website you will see that the mother of mary the girl that was killed in the video was a yoruba call bose who was traffic to italy for prostitution. The father of the girl is a ghanaian called Atta. I Know an igbo girls whom i went to school with that went to italy to do prostitution. There other tribes that do it too. so go and look for a place and sit down. Regardless of the tribe of this women what is going on bring shame to all nigerians even though some people likes to point finger quickly. What do people have to say about the prostitution that is going on in nigerian. I am not just talking about the local ones also the ones the university girls and some society girls do which they call RUNS. I guess some one like Madame sting will soon say all of this is done by bini women too. PROSTITUTION NA PROSTITUTION.

Alicia says... said...

READ WHAT I SAID, YOU DUMB BITCHES!! i said most of them are edo, more than half. and more than half means 51% OR MORE! dumb bitches that cant read. dont be upset because you're Edo and i called your ass out. even in the video where they said the things about using juju to tie prostitutes down, that is done in Edo state, you dumb fuckers! I hate people that wanna take what i said and try and twist it into their favor. did i say all of them were Edo? no, but it is no news that MANY/MOST of them are. so PLEASE fall back! if you are offended, OH WELL.
so mentioning Igbo is irrelevant because I know they are there, TRICK!

Anonymous said...

@Alicia - Why the vileness and such uncouth language? Who stole your bread? Ode oshi.

@Madame Sting - You are the cause of all this. Bloody idiot that doesn't know her left from her right. So if they mentioned the place where you are from in edo means you should include other parts as well? Grow up or go read your medical books, that might be the only thing you have sense for.

Bloody fight starters.

Anonymous said...

madma sting no one cares about your school or when you resume! tcheww why tell us?!
