Former military Vice President under IBB (1986 to 1993), and one-time Chief of General Staff, Retired Admiral Augustus Aikhomu has died. He died today after a prolonged illness. He was 71 years old.
Very genteel guy and that's why IBB loved him forever due to his loyalty. I won't tar him with the IBB brush. May his soul RIP and to V and E, take heart.

I always looked at Gen Aikhomu as a gentleman, who was a figure-head and an Ibb/Abacha puppet. Never saw him as an authoritative figure. To me, he was just there to make up the numbers. I just know him from the papers sha, those close to him will know better Sorry to his family. may his soul rest in peace
Sometimes, i wonder why these people are still able to rear their heads and make speeches of any sort. Aikhomu contributed to the demise of many. all i can say sincerely is I hope God gives him whatever he deserves.
