The family of one of Nigeria’s top comedian and Nollywood actor John Okafor (Mr Ibu) have been kidnapped in Enugu State.
This was confirmed in a short interview with a friend of the Okafors, who said they were kidnapped on their way home, yesterday.
Mr Henry Oduenyi told reporters that he had been on the phone with Mr Okafor, who said the car carrying members of his family and in laws was trailed from town.
“I learnt it happened at about 7pm, the kidnappers in another vehicle trailed the car carrying his wife, his 14 months old baby as well as a brother and sister in law” he said. Mr Oduenyi said the incident has since been reported to commissioner of police.

I guess some clown must have decided that being Osuofia's running mate, Mr Ibu must go where Osuofia went.Some idiots have no regard for human life.Here is praying that it all ends as well as it did for Osuofia.

Well talk about sense of humor of these kidnappers. John Okafor just completed a movie which will hit the US market in the next month or so called "?? Madness" (i forgot the first word) and in that - he and he co partner (comedian Okey Bakassi) go into kidnapping talking about "its the easiest way to make money".

In the preview they kidnapped this alhaji and the alhaji was giving them all these instructions, and then they ask him "Na you kidnap us or we kidnap you" - I cant wait to watch the movie - just to see that dance he was doing with the Yori Yori song.

I guess the kidnappers are making fun of him. Next time you decide to do a movie about kidnapping - becareful - cos you might just be kidnapped or your family would.

I am very hurt to hear about the top Nollywood star, Mr John Okafor's family being kidnapped. He is my favourite actor and I love his films. He always makes me laugh. I cant wait to see his movies. I am very, very angry about what has happened to him. I pray to god for the safe release of his family. I hope the goverment will help to save his family.
