Report Says ‘In Five Years, Nigeria Gained One Year of Life Expectancy'

Life expectancy in Nigeria rose by a marginal one year between 2005 and 2010 becoming one of the best in sub-Saharan Africa, where six countries record expectancy rates worse today than 1970, according to a new United Nations report.

The annual United Nations Development Programme's (UNDP) Human Development Index (HDI) which was released in New York early November, and launched yesterday in Abuja, showed that Nigeria's overall HDI within the past five years, remained unchanged. - 234next

This is a half-ass report. What is the life expectancy now? What was it before? What is the mean life expectancy from the other countries?
