Atheists in Nigeria recently got registered by the Corporate Affairs Commission, CAC as a corporate body. On Sunday a petition was sent to MDCN as their first official act. More details coming..

Reasonable people do not distribute responsible for their actions to unseen beings, we live in the real world. As we all know, most of the worlds ills have been justified by religion, from slavery, to paedophilia, people murder others, because of religion in a daily basis.
If that is what religion represents to so many, a belief in a god allows evil, and justifies the unnecessary suffering of the innocent, for 2 millenia, then it's about time those beliefs be challenged.

Well i'm a skeptical christian, and i must say that i am proud that a community for atheists and free thinkers is being established. I know some idiotic Christians would start spitting shit like "devil is working" or something. There is no empirical evidence of God, and if there is a God, why are you so sure that it's the Christian God, what of allah and the rest. 99% of people believe in the religion they were born and raised with.
