14 feard dead in failed jailbreak attempt in Ebonyi state

One prison officer and at least 13 prison inmates are feared to have died in the failed jailbreak attempt at Abakaliki prison in Ebonyi state yesterday August 18th. The inmates at about 9am began protesting poor condition of living, complaining that the prison officers give them small quantity of food to eat. During the protest, they used dangerous weapons on prison officials.
A team of mobile police officers and soldiers had to be drafted to the prison to restore law and order. Injured inmates and officers are currently receiving medical attention at the Federal Teaching Hospital Abakaliki, FETHA.

Prisoners are humans, pls let them be given good food and a good environment nd medical treatment.they deserve it not all prisoners re criminals.moreover d prison should be a place of rehabilitation not a death sentence.jail break is becoming common n goverment should look into it fast.

Wait so their restoration of law and order brought about the death of 14 persons this nation is indeed mad when criminals kill our law enforcement agents we all shout and wail where as many of them are heartless murderers if it's in a lawful nation, a committee of inquiry would be set up over this issue but alas it's Nigeria one of the most lawless nation on planet earth what a pity
