Nice and thought tweets.
Another means of killing godfatherism is the provision of independent candidacy in our constitution. Political parties, encourage godfatherism to a very large extent.

As much as I agree with the Speaker, has he forgotten they the godsons created the godfathers. It is the after the arrival of a child that man/woman can be called parents. Linda I wish you can see how irresponsible some of these godsons can be when they want to create their so called godfathers/godmothers. They are willing to take oat of allegiance when they are begging for money to promote their ambition/s. The come sometimes with their entire family to swear on OGUN, OYA, OKIJA, IRUNMOLE, OJUJU, AIYELALA etc to beg for support, their family members especially the wife or husband will tell you how good and loyal a person the man/woman is and how loyal he/she will be when they get to the office/top. Some wives ever offer to sleep with
some godfathers to get their husband to the position/top. Today after reading your posting on the EFCC oga, i called to confirm and I can tell you how many people are already at Bourdilllon Ikoyi already lobbying for Lamonde's job. The speaker is correct, PMB need to get rid of all these irresponsible godsons/daughers with their godfathers/mothers. GOD HELP NIGERIA. It is not a sin to be a kingmaker but it is WICKED to attach conditions on the neck of the king.

Ghen ghen, the story continues. In other words Dogara is saying he doesn't have a godfather right? Well we all know he's referring to Gbajamila.

Oh please, Shut Up Fool.

Ok, ''It's allowed to bite the finger that fed you''. Isn't it?

Now you know there's something called Self-Worth? Well incase you dont know, your intelligence, self-worth, hardwork, profile or whatever you want to name it is as good as dead without someone giving you the ''OPPORTUNITY'' to explore it.

There are better ways to handle issues with your benefactor than being confrontational. When you take advantage of your rising profile to disregard your godfather, it greatly questions your Moral values.

Humans are so wicked and soooooooooo ungrateful.

This is just like telling your parents to ''Go to Hell'' after what? Making lots of compromise to make you useful to the society.

If you dont want to have a Godfather, don't get a public position through a Godfather.

Speaker Dogara should go to hell n shut d hell up. When they want appointment n positions they wont let the so called "godfather" rest as soon as they have money n power they will want to turn d table.
Dogara hold it right there! Nigerians who kn the truth wont buy ur silly tweets. How would u feel if u help someone up n he turns around to spit on u? How? Get busy with d job u are entrusted with n quit heating up d polity. By d way my respect for u just dropped

This mudslinging is healthy for our democracy. All the tweets are about Tinubu getting over-bearing. The demi-god presumed that nominating Fashola as Chief of Staff or Secretary to the Government will give Fashola the leverage to scheme for the Presidency in the near future. I will plead with Tinubu to stop playing God.

Hmmm! I am happry this is coming from the Speaker. Good one really and perhaps a lot of them needs to reason with this thought and give a serious consideration. However, who among the politicians is not attached to a godfather if the truth needs to be said? time will tell

Unknown said...

I do not think godfatherism as a concept is a bane in a democracy. However the quality and persuasions of godfathers is what can be a bane in society. Nigeria for one has lots of 'unqualified' godfathers who become insecure wen dey seem to be losing the grip. A good teacher should never be threatened by the glory of his student.
Whenever we speak of godfathers these days a certain name always comes to mind.
No one can deter or frustrate our collective resolve as Nigerians, we must fight against what needs to be fought for us to have that tangibe CHANGE.

GODFATHER - TINUBU
GODSON - FASHOLA

GODFATHER MESSING UP NATIONAL ASSEMBLY BY ALSO TRYING TO INSTALL GBAJABIAMILA
NOW NOTE: WHEN TINUBU USED HIS POWER TO SHORTCHANGE FASHOLA'S CO-CONTESTANTS IN HIS FAVOUR, HE (FASHOLA) ENJOYED IT. HE RODE ON THE BACK OF A TIGER, WHAT'S WRONG IF HE ENDS IN THE BELLY OF THE TIGER?

THIS IS JUST THE BEGINNING...

All those sychophants that abused Ambode for outing Fashola, this message is for you.

They are here commenting; nice one, great man, e.t.c without realizing that he is talking to them. Please receive sense.

McCarthy said...

What he is saying is true. God uses people to make people but that doesn't mean you won't allow the person to go bigger than you. The only problem I have with Nigerian politicians is that once they support someone, they don't look into any allegation that has been paced on the person they support. I know Hon Dogara in talking about Chief Tinubu, but why can't he also condemn the reckless spending by Mr Fashola? He is just angry that Tinubu did not support him, so we can see that it is all about interest for most of them and not necessarily for the good of the nation.

Tinubu holds South West to ransom with all the
inflated juicy contracts from the APC states, as he has succeeded in buying Lagos
State government properties, using government funds after blackmailing Fashola
into submission, with threats of impeachment. His rent seeking and mass acquisition of properties strategies has made properties to rise above the roof in Lagos state.

According to the AIT documentary that he is yet to contest
directly, Tinubu owns the Oriental Hotel, Falomo Shopping Complex, First Nation
Airline, Private Jets, Lekki Concession Company, Apapa Amusement Park, the
Renaissance Hotel, the Radio Continental, the TV Continental, the Nation
Newspaper, Ikeja Shopping Mall, Alpha Beta (IGR collectors), ownership of
Tejuoso Market, School of Nursing & NNPC buildings, N4B property located at
the Queens Drive, Lagos and other choice properties worth billions of naira
located within and beyond Lagos State allegedly acquired and owned illicitly by
referenced Tinubu Ahmed.
