That moment when Caitlyn Jenner realises she has the same dress as Kris Jenner

In the latest trailer for the new docu-series I Am Cait, 65-year-old Caitlyn Jenner excitedly shows Kim K one of her favourite dresses as the two stand in her walk-in wardrobe. 'Love this dress,' she proudly beams as she brandishes the elegant black number on a hanger.

Kim, smiling the whole time, instantly recognizes it and says 'Mom has that,' and can't help but grin as Caitlyn looked on.

'Oh...' is all she manages before her eyes fall, and it sinks in the beloved garment will now never see the light of day.

Wearing a pretty orange and pink lips-patterned black dress, surrounded by hundreds of garments she probably never dreamed she'd get to wear in public, it is perhaps the moment Caitlyn realises she's not actually as free to wear what she likes as she thought she was.

Nevertheless she is embracing her newly unveiled femininity - in the 30 second trailer alone she appears in no less than eight different outfits.

Even before Caitlyn transitioned, Kim - who Caitlyn said has been the most accepting of the children became something of a stylist to her stepfather.

Then still living as Bruce, Kim said she would help go through his closet and weed out all the ugly clothes, and at the time he even admitted to stealing one of her outfits.

'If you’re keeping some of these pieces, I don’t want to be known as your stylist,' she told him on an About Bruce special of Keeping Up with the Kardashians.

I Am Cait, which will feature eight one-hour episodes, debuts on E! on July 26
