AMEN.Nigerians are so wicket, both in thought and deed. They only remember the new ones that are reigning, rubbish. They never remember their fallen heroes,or those that served the country with their sweat.

You guys should stop attacking @royal priesthood with hate comments, the truth is that he's married and hope of sustaining his family is all on linda's yearly give away (100k). Did I forget to mention that he's jobless. So guys take it easy on him.

The height of our irresponsible ways towards our legends.

Just can you imagine thattt!!!! Am ashamed to be called a Nigerian. While we all moved on with our lives even while yekini was sick alone and dying, Portugal still rememebered him even after death. That is why nobody wants to give their all to Nigeria. Athletes cross carpet and nationalise for other nations after they see the way we treated their predecessors. Even NFA and the sports ministry could not remember yekini, no wonder Nigeria is doing so badly in football and sports.

Unknown said...

Lol ,you are very funny

He was a Nigerian soccer legend of high repute, a colossus on the soccer pitch, the nation's first goal scorer at a world cup tournament, Nigeria's ever highest goal scorer, two times African Nations cup highest goal scorer, a former African footballer of the year, former highest goal scorer in both the Greek and Portuguese leagues among others. Despite all these achievements, he has been forgotten in Nigeria. His spirit lives on. Adieu Rashidi Yekini.
