GEJ promises to meet Chibok girls' parents after meeting with Malala

President Jonathan yesterday promised girl-child education campaigner Malala Yousafzai that he will meet the parents of the missing Chibok girls. He's promised to do all he can to rescue the girls but he never attempted to go to Chibok and never requested to meet with the missing girls' parents...until Malala convinced him to do so. Speaking after the closed door meeting at the state house, Malala said
"I met with the parents of these girls who are still under the abduction of Boko Haram and they were crying and hopeless. But still, they have this hope that there is still someone who can help them. They asked me if there is any chance for them to meet the President because at this time, they need the President’s support, so I asked the President if it is possible for him to go and see them to encourage them and the President did promise me that he will meet the parents of these girls.
“I spoke to the President about the girls who complained that they could not go to school despite the fact that they want to become doctors, engineers and teachers. But the government is not providing them any facility. They also need health facility, security and the government is not doing anything.

It took a 17years old for the president to meet the parents of the kidnapped girls, I'm sure if she had asked him to visit Chibok, he would have agreed.

Shameless man it took a 17 year old Pakistani girl to come and tell you what your own people have been trying to tell him for 91 days. Surely there must be a special place in HELL for Jonathan. He harassed the #BBOG campaign, arrested them, threw tear gas, lied on them now he quickly welcomes a foreigner and is taking pictures with her. BIG FOOL

What an Eye Service of a person we call PRESIDENT !!! So if Malala did not talk to him, commonsense did not tell him d right thing to do!!!
May be if one of his kids was kidnapped by Boko Horam, then would there be action !!! Mr President and his corrupt government forget one day they will give account to GOD on how they maltreated his people. They all think they are untouchable and Immortals. A leader without vision and LOVE is worse than a nagging wife.. Going to church without the fear God is useless. Even pagan presidents in other countries rule better .... GREED! GREED! ! GREED !!!.

Well if meeting them will calm nerves and make them happy that's all fine and good but do you need the advice of Malala before you do the needful? Anyway, don't go Borno oh, invite them to Aso rock.

I usually don't comment on updates like dis I just ad 2 on dis 1.Now @ least he has promised 2 go see dem am sure he ll but truth be told 9gerians and d missing chibok girls parents don't just want encouragement but actions. Abt d case of Educational facilities,Health care centres and security of d state dats d job of d Governors dats y we av governors every 9igerian knows dat d northerners don't like education not just 4 deir girls alone but 4 d men as well, dis re d states dat drove oda non indigenous 4rm coming 2 invest in dem away wit deir ethnic fights and religious beliefs so dis tins can't be implemented if d state government don't play deir part. Plus we all know dat dis BH issue is so deeply rooted.
My point is Nigeria and Nigerians needs God corruption is our biggest problem so deeply rooted in our veins. Is a pity how my beloved country is getting worse by d day. D solution begins wit us as individuals we our tots, minds, hrts and souls 2 be purified

All of you saying the girl made GEJ to agree meeting with the Chibok parents I have one question for you.. If your child was taken really would you wait for the president to come to you? NO is the answer, have u ever seen how a hen reacts each time an eagle rovers around her children!! Am sure you can figure that out !!! No missing girls period.!!

Anybody else but me notice that we have a government that does nothing but offer hollow words and promises...

"We condemn..." But never actually do anything to prevent or stop further dastardly acts
"We promise to..." But nothing is EVER actually done
"We plan to..." But all that is evident is actually a gross lack of planning

I find it very insulting that you (government) toss out these phrases as prefixes to real issues affecting real lives knowing fully well that you have no intentions of doing anything... And knowing that We (Nigerians) know that you have no intentions of doing anything.
We are "sheep" no more. Now we ask questions and take to the streets. We were raised not to question authority, but now we question even that.

Go back to your world history books (government)... Study the patterns... Deduce what this is indicative of...

There's 168 Million of us... How many are you?
