Dear all, compliments of the day to you.I believe a lot of you must have heard of the recent termination of my job as an OAP (On Air Personality) on 99.3 Nigeria Info Fm. Well, it is true.
I have read on several blogs that I was sacked for being arrogant, rude etc. Even recently that I lacked discipline. If I lacked discipline, I wouldn't be successful in my career. I believe discipline, integrity and honesty goes hand in hand with true success. Ask those who have met and known me and they will tell you that this is what I live for. I am not perfect, I have made mistakes but who is perfect?
I
prefer to be silent on matters like this but since silence is assumed
to be consent, I will not consent to my hard earned reputation being
dragged to the gutters. I worked too hard for it.
On
the 2nd of September 2013 while on admission at First Consultant
Medical Centre, Lagos. I received an email while on my sick bed,
announcing my termination. Honestly, I was not angry but a bit shocked. I
had been too sick lately due to my pregnancy and was not at my best but
I expected my company to be supportive of me. Yes, I wanted them to be
supportive of me because I had worked hard over the years to bring them
much glory.
I know that I will see all sorts of
articles and comments to discredit me but I simply ask this of you all.
If you have ever met me and I was unpleasant to you, feel free to vent
but If you don't know the real me and all you have heard are
insinuations, hold your peace.
I love people
and always wish them well. My mentees and honest colleagues will testify
to this.I love progress because I believe the sky is big enough for
all the birds to fly. AIM Consultants. I am not mad at you. I believe
when one door closes, another one opens. I have served you well over the
years, brought you accolades. So please, let me go in peace and
insiders in the Organisation who do not like guts should not use it as
an opportunity to tear me down. I am a good person and YOU
ALL KNOW THIS!

It's so sad how some pple r so inconsiderate towards pregnant women.i had severe morning sickness when I was pregnant n I went thru a lot with my bosses.i even got a query from 1 of them,that I had to respond to in 24 hrs or face sanction.i felt so sad I cried a lot .

When you were the champion in wazobia fm we all loved you then you left and lolo became the toast of wazobia listeners and i really wonder what you went to look for in Naija Info,,all they want to do is rubbish your career but God will not allow them because you are good in what you do,,however if dem talk say you rude make you self check yourself because everybody no fit dey wrong because even me self i know sabi you one on one!
I am sorry but I think Matse can be a bit rude sometimes. I don’t think she is a bad person, but she probably gets very passionate about her point-of-view and that might develop into a shouting match. I used to listen to her daily show and would sometimes catch her participation on “Ali Baba seriously” until I couldn’t take how brusque she gets with her callers sometimes. She was a lot more pleasant when she was in Wazobia. A Matse show on motherhood wont be a bad thing though, I like her views on child-rearing

I have been in similar situations too many times in the past, and present, but you know what, time is a great healer.

Dear Matshe, don't worry. You are worth your onions and God will surely take you to where He intends you to be. God will save us from all the 'oga at the top'' I have a similar experience at work. My oga chased me for almost a year. The moment I got married and pregnant two months after, its been one issue or the other. I guess he suddenly realized that his hopes have been dashed. He has virtually made my life miserable. All of a sudden I have become incompetent, arrogant, rude and over reactive. I am just trusting God to help me get through this phase and most importantly I have to be strong for my baby.
So my dear, stay calm, you are not alone. At God's due time, He will make a way for all that believe.

Too many things don't add up in this whole story. What professional establishment fires an employee over a valid temporary medical circumstance?? There must be other facts here that have been untold. I've never met Matse and I don't listen to Wazobia or Naija info, but I've heard about oap there who shut callers up and down. To each his own, but this press release is simple an individual painting their own picture for the public. Nobody knows what occurred but those involved. I say common sense doesn't explain her getting fired over pregnancy. However, wish her the best and hope all parties learn the life lessons from the situation. Nuff said!

havent all you guys who said Mtse is rude ever heard that pregnant wwomen secrete high hormones/testostorone during pregnancy and this kind of make them irritated easily and kind of like appear rude or unfriendly at times. Matse, the same thing happened to me...was ill and admitted and when i got better and resumed back to work, one of the bosses went ahead to say i wasnt ill but had gone to hang out and over did it and then decided on my own to take a week off *imagine talk sha!*...i was in the hospital, writing in pains, my butt and veins still hurt cos of injections, yet that person that calls himself a human being opened his mouth to say i faked it...i tended my resignation letter but the other boss and a senior colleague advised i not pay attention to what the human being said...Dear, people like that are best left to GOD...only GOD knows where the shoe pinches them...you are blessed and have your life ahead of you and i trust GOD would open a better door for you...you're human and its totally natural that thoughts about it would get to you and all, but dont let it weigh you down..you're good at what you do and thats what'll make you be sought after...HUGS
