If brands principle is :African women are beautiful the way they are. Then why are they selling products from other nationals? Why Brazilian hair, why make up. This business should sit down and re-strategies on what their Mission, Vision, Goals and targets are. Businesses should not come up with stuff as their mission because it sounds nice. They need to re-draft what they are all about.

Dang! Everyone has a hairline, we're definitely curious about trying this brand tho!

And no, we are not affiliated

Just a question, if this is based on the principle that african women are beautiful the way they are, then why then do they sell brazillian and peruvian hair???? Isn't that a big glitch in their sales strategy? And what natural african product are they using?????

Just saying....

So much for "African women are beautiful just the way they are" and having hair line products that include – Brazilian, Cambodian and Peruvian! Didn't know Brazil, Cambodia, and Peru are African countries! Wow, I need to update my geography....

And they didnt have the decency to use pictures of their own hair. That second pic has been used by hair sellers to the moon and back for several years. I hate it when pics of celebs are used to market products. Is Kelly Rowland wearing their hair? Not impressed at all.

As much as I hate to comment on beauty stuffs, this is getting ridiculous.
If it is about
Nigerian beauty brand that is based on the principle that African women are beautiful just the way they are, why not stick to natural hair(that is not chemically treated) products that we African have instead of Brazilian, Cambodian and Peruvian hair?

Hey Anonymous,

Thanks for your comment! I am one of the co-founders of My Makeup and it may be hard to get the whole story of our company from just one blog post. We believe that Nigerian women wear wigs and weaves because we see it more as a way to diversify our looks and express ourselves. For us it’s not about looking European or Asian. We are about to launch our kinky curly hair brand which is like natural unpermed hair and the excitement for that among our clients has been outstanding!

i wonder when Nigerian hair will be in the market. *now waiting forever*

Why are they using pictures of American celebrities. They can be sued for this. Anyhow, all the best to them

Nice one, but why all the buzz about brazilian hair, I never knew it was just a weavon that we've knew for a very very long time, until my sister revealed it to me.
But why can't someone come up with Nigerian hair or Aba hair? Just thinking, lol.

My make up is basically a Beauty merchant which is cool stuff!
The competition out there is crayyyy! So all the best.

BTW I want the The kind of Kelly Roland's hair!

is that why use the faces of kelly rowland and Tika sumpta on the cover? cant you find models here in naija to do that for u

Ditto @ Anonymous 10/17 924Pm. What is so African about fake hair from all parts of the world? What is natural about makeup? I am a makeup lover and I use it heavily. Let us not be deceived. Aint nothing natural about it. It is an augmenter but it is not a natural thing.

Hello Bukky,

Would be nice to have an online store where one can shop for make up etc?

Your website is a blog...erm how can your potential clients add value to your company...by commenting? Where can we make a purchase?

Did u say aba hair? Anything from that place can never be original. Its gonna be worse than china. My take is we spend so much money on hair. To me this is ridiculous. All this nonsense is what is making young girls go d extra mile just to be in vogue. What is all this nonsense, what is the essence? If my husband or boyfriend does not no the difference why should I kill myself. Am sure in abroad, they have less expensive hairs that are of very high quality. Why must everybody do hair of almost 200k or more. Even hundred k sef, e get as e be! If u are a celebrity fine. But if u don't have any means of livelihood and u do all this hair, God is watching u! Anyway before u people abuse me and say "poor mans thinking" am not poor but am being realistic! Hair price here is ridiculous.

@ Bukky. If you say the new kınky curly haır depıcts the natural unpermed haır (am envısagıng that ıs d common nıgerıan haır), why ıs ıt beıng named Brazılıan Morlado curls. I dont thınk Brazılıans av our kınd of haır. Why not name ıt "Nıgerıan Morlado curls" or sumtın else promotıng 9ja or would that make ıt ınferıor? Just sayıng. I look forward to when we can be proud of our own products such that people from outsıde wıll also come and patronıze us. It starts wıth us.

Nigerian companies are so annoying, does it cost to arrange a photo shoot? Why don't they use their own images to market their products?! And if you don't have any you are simply not ready to go public!
