Linda,

Thanks immensely for blogging about the release of the complete collection of Fela's works. I came across it quite by accident because you do not generally cover the sort of subject matter I am into. But there's the power of Google for you.

Interestingly, this is the only mention of this event I can find online.

As a Nigerian living in London I simply would not have heard of it out here. And I am a huge fan. I still have fond memories of the times I visited Shrine when I lived in Lagos many years ago. And most of the Fela CD's on sale out here have very short versions of his songs because they've been released for the Western market. People like me need real thing.

I have already asked my people in Lagos to seek it out. And I anticipate many long hours of listening pleasure thank's to you.
