Nigerian Catholics begin rosary challenge live on Instagram

Just as the Hallelujah challenge comes to an end, Young & Catholic Nigeria has announced that there will be a rosary challenge live on Instagram for Catholics all over Nigeria who are willing to join.

It was not exactly termed a rosary challenge but it requires that participants come live on Instagram at a certain time of the day to join others in doing a live recital...

The rosary challenge began on June 23rd and is expected to continue till October. According to Ebuka, who shared the information on his Instagram account, the rosary will be recited in the mornings.

It has turned to competition! ok na. when would they start love your neighbor challenge? help the poor challenge? be kind to others challenge? do not judge others (e.g BOBRISKY) challenge? do not cheat or scam others challenge. if we like let us do olowogborboro, rosary challenge but our hearts are evil wicked and very judgmental, we are just wasting our time.
Remember when God talked about the last day!
'Get away from me wicked person, when i was hungry you didnt give me food to eat'. NOT PAY TITHE TO PASTOR!

'when i was naked you didnt clothe me'. NOT do midnight challenge and olowogboro and rosary bla bla.

Nigerians and social media validation. remember matt 6.5 you can do your midnight challenge Quietly without showing off on social media.
Rosary challenge at 8am? when workers are in their offices and students in school? Really ?

What Amblessed is trying to say is that as Christians l, we have direct contact with Christ/God. We don't need to pray with or bow to any image apart from using the name of the Lord Jesus Christ to pray. For reference, look up Leviticus 26:1 and Exodus 20:4

@iamblessed was unnecessarily insulting. Nevertheless, the fact remains that Mary, the mother of Jesus, is a dead woman. Just as Abraham is a dead man, Moses is a dead man, Peter is a dead man, Paul is a dead man, Joseph the husband of Mary and foster father of Jesus is a dead man, etc. The only two human beings who are not dead but have lived on this earth and are no longer here are Enoch and Elijah. There is no record or witness of the death of these two. Enoch "walked with God" and simply "was not" i.e. disappeared from this planet/realm of existence "for God took him" and we learn later in the Word of God that it was because he "pleased God" so much. As for Elijah, he was taken up to heaven bodily by the heavenly whirlwind and horses and chariots of fire as witnessed by Elisha and further confirmed by the 50 or so sons of the prophets who insisted, against the wishes of Elisha who knew it was futile having witnessed what he had witnessed, on searching high and low for the body of Elijah for about 3 days and could not find it. It is generally believed these two men are the "two witnesses" spoken of in the Revelation who will return to the earth in the time of the Tribulation, preach for three and a half years, have the power of fire from their mouths to kill their enemies, and be allowed by God to be killed and lie dead in the sight of all with their enemies rejoicing and celebrating, which celebration will only last 3 and a half days as at this time, God will resurrect them. The Word of God states that "Ït is appointed unto ALL men once to die and after that, the judgment." These two men will thus be sent back to the earth by God to die, as Scripture cannot be broken.

"In the beginning was The WORD and The WORD was with GOD and The WORD was GOD. ... And The WORD was made flesh and dwelt amongst us and we beheld His glory, full of grace and truth."

Like any secret/special agent or spy on a mission given a code name, GOD, The WORD, the Second Person in the Holy Trinity of God, the Second Person of the Godhead, He Who had always and eternally been God, accepted the Divine Mission of salvation ("Whom shall We send? Who shall go for Us?" "And I said, Here I am, send Me." "In the volume of the Book, it is written of Me: I come to do Thy will, O LORD.") and took on the already existing human code name: Jesus, meaning saviour. Because it was man (Adam) who fell and lost to the devil, satan, it had to be man who got the victory over the devil, satan, so GOD, came in human form to make it legal. He ascended bodily back into heaven and He is still in Heaven bodily for, furthermore, as testified by the angels to the disciples present at His ascension, ""Men of Galilee," they said, "why do you stand here looking into the sky? This same Jesus, who has been taken from you into heaven, will come back in the same way you have seen him go into heaven."

Jesus Christ is God. His Name is The WORD of GOD. "The WORD was with God and The WORD was GOD." "The WORD became flesh and dwelt among us." God has NO mother. If God had a mother, His mother would be God, not He. Jesus, however, had a mother. He chose to.

Furthermore, "NOONE comes to The FATHER except by ME." says Jesus. The Word of God also says, ""For there is one God and ONE mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus." Again, "For there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved."

No name of any 'saint' is given anywhere in the Word of God as a mediator or intercessor for mankind, neither the name of Mary, the mother of Jesus, nor is there any testimony or practice EVER amongst the disciples of Jesus and the early church of prayer being made through special dead believers/saints and Mary, even as much as she was spoken of and regarded with honour (NOT and NEVER veneration or worship).

By the way, "the queen of heaven" is an idol that God rebuked His people very strongly and pronounced judgment upon for worshiping and baking moon cakes to and laying out food offerings etc to on their rooftops.

Mary, along with every other human being and created creature, is NOT, as Catholics believe, Co-Redemptor with Jesus Christ, with God. This is complete and total heresy, blasphemy and a LIE from the very pit of hell. "For ALL have sinned and come short of the glory of GOD."

"ALL have SINNED and COME SHORT OF THE GLORY OF GOD." "ALL." No exception.

"God made Him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God." Again, "For you know that it was not with perishable things such as silver or gold that you were redeemed from the empty way of life you inherited from your forefathers, but with the precious blood of Christ, the SINLESS, spotless Lamb of GOD."

Pierre (3) said...

Salvation of mankind required/requires a SINLESS Redemptor. NOWHERE in the Word of God is it ever testified of Mary that she was without sin. The angle's salutation to her NEVER said or in any way implied this. She was "blessed among women, full of grace, the Lord was with her" yet no mention of being SINLESS. John the Baptist "was FILLED with THE HOLY SPIRIT from his mother's womb" and Jesus testified that of all men born of women, John was the greatest yet no mention ever that he was SINLESS. (Also, does this not tell you that Jesus categorically made it clear that He was not man? though 'born of a woman'also? He cannot be born of anyone from His BEGINNING. He did not come into existence by being born. He existed and lives as God from eternity unto eternity. He kept shutting up and silencing demons who knew Who He really was, from declaring His identity when He would cast them out of people. When someone finds it necessary all the time to announce himself as something that should be obvious, it makes people know/suspect that He is not really what or who he keeps telling whoever cares to hear and whoever doesn't. When Someone keeps referring to Himself as "The Son of Man" over and over and over ...)

Furthermore, even as Jesus honored His mother e.g. granting her wish at the wedding of Cana, He struck a balance for us. This same mother of His, was outside an event where He was preaching and could not get in because of the crowd, and a message was taken to Jesus that "Your mother and brothers are outside" and Jesus replied: "Who is My mother? And who are My brothers? Whoever does the will of God/of My FATHER in heaven is My mother and My brother and My sister." Even we, obeying completely and continuously and constantly, are the mother of Jesus, and the brother and sister of Jesus. On the Cross, at His crucifixion, He further, as a good Son, and also as God, striking a balance, said to her and to His beloved disciple John: "Woman, behold your son. Son, behold your mother." If Mary/Mary's title was/is the mother of God, and God made her the mother of John, is John now also God?

The Word of God is and must remain paramount and sovereign, the only, and the first, and the final authority. Over every pope, general overseer, priest, pastor, reverend father, bishop, apostle, evangelist, preacher, government, man, woman, boy, girl, sign, wonder, miracle worker. miracle, creature, everything and anything.

A key difference between the Protestant and Catholic churches is their Bibles. At some point, the Hebrew Bible or Scriptures were translated into Greek for the sake of Jews who couldn't speak Hebrew. Later on, the Jewish elders met and began the process of canonization of the Scriptures and took the decision to return to and hold on to only their original and official Hebrew Scriptures/Bible i.e. the Torah. The canonization was affirmed at the Council of Jammia. The Christian Protestant churches believed that what was not is the Hebrew Bible should not be in the Christian Bible and complied with this but the Catholic church continued with the Greek translation of the Old Testament. The Protestant Bible includes only those books that were deemed to be God’s words. Books and stories that were deemed to be written by ‘man’ were excluded. This process of canonization took many centuries. Another major difference between the Catholic and Protestant churches is their belief regarding the Bible. Catholics view the Bible as having EQUAL authority with the Church and tradition, whereas, Protestants view the Bible as the SUPREME authority for faith and practice.

"Heaven and earth shall pass away but not one jot (dotting of the i) nor tittle (crossing of the t) of My Word shall be altered/pass away/fail to be fulfilled."

Pierre ... You have just posted jargons... Trying to confuse urself... If the saints are dead as you claim why did Moses and Elijah appear and stood with our Lord at the transfiguration as mentioned in Mathew 17;3? If they are dead as you claim why did St Peter promise to aid the infant Church after his demise (laying down of his Tabernacle)?
2 Peter 1: 14 - Being assured that the laying away of this my tabernacle is at hand, according as our Lord Jesus Christ also hath signified to me.

15 - And I will endeavour, that you frequently have after my decease, whereby you may keep a memory of these things..... Read that verse 15...If it was impossible for the dead to aid the living how come does St Peter promise to frequently remind them after his decease of those things he had instructed them here below? It tells you that the saints who now share beatific vision are alive in Christ in heaven and can aid us... Likewise The Our Blessed Mother Mary... Still aids us her children... Even you Pierre who speak ill of her.. Not even death can separate us from the love of God and communion with the Saints Rom 8:38..
