FRSC officials clear off the wreckage of the tanker that exploded on Lagos-Ibadan expressway (photos)

Officials of Federal Road Safety Corps have cleared the wreckage of the tanker that exploded in an accident that occurred on Tuesday at the Kara-Ibafo, KM21 of the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway. A tanker said to belong to Total Oil Nigeria Plc was heading to Oyo state when it collided with a large sized stone on the expressway and skidded off its track.

Five vehicles including the fuel tanker were caught up in the explosion which followed when a driver of a commercial bus wanted to negotiate its way through the ensuing gridlock. The silencer of the bus was said to have sparked a fire and it spread to the spilled fuel, causing an explosion. Scores of motorists and commuters fortunately escaped death but others including those scooping fuel that spilled were injured from the blast.

Linda, The headline for this story is wrong because your blog never reported about the accident when it occurred, so you would not have given a developing or "overnight" headline. The right headline would have been "FRSC officials clear off wreckage of a tanker that exploded on the Lagos-Ibadan expressway (photos)" BIG UPS

So what where they expected to do? Bring the wreckage to my house? That's their job.. They're doing what they are paid to do. It's not supposed to be news.
