Dancehall Meets Afrobeats As Konshens And Kerwin

Jamaican Dancehall star Konshens and Soca hitmaker Kerwin Dubois have joined forces with RCA Records-signed Nigerian Pop artist Ayo Jay, fast-rising producer Young D and Afrobeats veteran Timaya, for the brand new international single ‘Shabba’, presented by Power 105.1’s DJ Norie and One Nation Records.

Dubois Join Young D, Ayo Jay And Timaya On ‘Shabba’

Presented by Power 105.1’s DJ Norie and One Nation Records

With Dancehall continuing to be one of the most dominant sounds in 2016, as everyone from Justin Beiber, Rihanna and Drake takes influences from the genre for their biggest singles this year, and Afrobeats quickly catching the attention of the world’s ears with the recent successes of the likes of Wizkid and Davido, ‘Shabba’ makes for a great moment for both sounds and cultures to amalgamate.

Produced by Young D, who is perhaps best know for being behind the massive Timaya and Sean Paul collaboration ‘Bum Bum’, ‘Shabba’ is an instantly infectious dance floor filler, backed by trademark 90’s Dancehall drums and melodic Afrobeats sensibilities, which sees Konshens, Ayo Jay, Kerwin Dubois and Timaya gelling beautifully, to deliver an unstoppable cross-over jam ready to conquer the summer.

Woke up very early to work out, because I jog in the morning before the sun comes out and before vehicles starts passing . Normally I go with my husband but this morning he was having running stomach so he stayed back .

I dressed up, with my hands free and off I went , listening to my favourite music and doing my thing , before one guy came and joined me , telling me that it's risking to jog alone this early morning , which I told him that our estate is safe and secure . We started jogging together and gisting, until he said he was all sweaty and took off his shirt , and asked me to hold , while he showed me some skills. To God who made me, I have never seen a body like that before except on the Internet or movies , wow, wow this guys body build was out of this life , so I was lust . He was just doing his thing and the next thing I...
