Photos: Lagos government presents cheques to fire victims
Lagos state deputy governor, Dr Idiat Adebule today presented cheques to some of the victims of the fire incidents that occurred in Iyana Ipaja and Idimu area of Lagos state on June 2nd and June 6th respectively. More photos after the cut...
who did the Government settle? My uncle property was among in Iyana Ipaja.Obviously the Government is not sincere in their dealing. They should have be an on the spot assessment of property in the location than people visiting the government secretariat.
That's very magnanimous of them! Lagos State Government is really showing that it's a government of the poor masses; and they have listening ears! Other states should learn from Lagos State!!!
Assuming Nigeria is a working state, there would be insurance and responsibility on the part of the tankers owner or whoever that have the oil the are carrying.People do not know that if Nigeria is working everyone will not be suffering like this. And our leaders will be made to work not just take our resources for themselves and enjoy at our expense.
Am one of the victim. They only presented cheque to 7 people, who happened to be lanlords. They promised to pay into our account later. And that was after the deputy governor left.
It was only 7 lanlord frm iyana ipaja and 3 lanlords frm idimu dat was compensated. The cheque was presented to them by the deputy governor. After she left, they told us that the cheque won't be. Presented anymore, that they would pay into our account later. Plsssss Linda. Look into this for us!
