House of Reps leadership tussle: Pro-Dogara group say they won't accept Gbajabiamila for House Majority Leader

Pro-Dogara group in the House of Reps say they will never accept Hon Femi Gbajabiamila as the House Majority Leader. In a statement signed by Abdulmumini Jibrin representing Kano state, the group said true federal character as stated in the Nigerian constitution for the appointment of key positions in the National assembly must be enforced.

The group argue that the North East and the South West cannot produce any principal officer again after Hon Dogara from Bauchi state in the North East and Yusuf Lasun from Osun state in the South West already occupy key positions as Speaker and Deputy Speaker respectively.
The group has however offered to give the Gbajabiamila faction the opportunity to produce the next Majority leader but says that Femi Gbajabiamila himself cannot occupy the position. This has however been refused by the Gbajabiamila led faction who have said their position to ensure that Femi Gbajabiamila is made Majority Leader is non negotiable

Rubbish Gbajabiamila deserved that Speakership even more than Dogara, could recall how he worked tirelessly then as House minority leader, even after Dogara emerged he accepted it in good fate.
The Dogara group are biting more than they can chew, PMB already told them to respect the position of the party on this issue.

They should stop the chaos and accept defeat. Hope the interest of this country is of topmost priority because from the look of things, the milking must continue.

This Gbaja-Gbaja-biamila guy should go and rest!...... Is it a must that he must occupy a post in the house of reps?! Is it his father's house! The smell of Thiefnibu is oozing all around him, and his aboki Slave-Masters don't want no Thiefnubu in da house! Very soon they will turn that house to another Rivers State House of Assembly where they will be fighting with weapons and chairs, between abokis and the yaribas! What then will be the consequence, if the house of reps is shut down?! Maybe the Senate will take over their duty! Or maybe Bhuhari will rule without the legislative arm! After all, he is already ruling the country without ministers!!!

Let this house catch fire already

You are a big fool so you need someone to tell you that Buhari is in support ? Is at longer head with tinubu that is it.

Kachi said...

Enough already APC. 100 days in office is fast approaching. Buhari has a covenant with Nigeria. The clock is ticking... tick tock...

I don't understand how people can be so mean. This Gbaja man supported the former speaker to the last, I even remember the day the police invaded the national assembly how Mr Gbaja later stood like a security guard in front of the former speaker that is now against him. Mr Tambuwals anger is that they asked him to step down for PMB. Some people are never contented or grateful thats why bad things happen to them. He is not happy that he became speaker and now has the opportunity to be the governor of his state, he still feels he would have been the president by now. This man deserves to be the majority leader because he has really worked and is a ranking member. Please Mr Dogara, act like a real christian and allow this thing be. Don't be like Mr Saraki who after going against majority of his party, still didn't want the man he edged out to be majority leader. Greed and wickedness always has consequences.

And how well is he ruling the country without his ministers. A whole president who can't organise his senate house. It's quite embarassing honestly.

SPINELESS GBAJABIAMILA WANTS PARTY AND TINUBU TO FIGHT FOR HIM. APC IS BEING FOOLED TO CONTINUE WITH TINUBU'S IMPOSITION STYLE. PROBLEM IS: WHEREAS IT CAN WORK AMONG THEM YORUBAS, THE NATIONAL PLATFORM IS A DIFFERENT LEAGUE. IT'S ABOUT BUILDING BRIDGES, IT'S ABOUT TRADE OFFS

molebaba said...

This 8th assembly never enact any law so far o! Na just fight them dey busy dey fight! That mean say no meaningful law would be passed from this clowns, na just fight them go archive through out there regime!

Anonymous said...

Abeg shut up there make we see road..

Anonymous said...

I wonder when they would settle down and make meaningful laws for the citizens that voted them into power.

Anonymous said...

So ur party supremacy has nw superceed ur federal constitution? Fool!!!

Anonymous said...

APC party supremacy is now greater than the federal constitution that says there must be federal character in appointments and placements. I will recommend to baba go slow that when next he wants to pass a law, he should just send it over to the APC secretariat for confirmation, instead of sending it to the senate, since party supremacy supersedes all.

It is half of the year (2015) already and absolutely nothing has been accomplished for citizens by these legis-looters. So, when will these legislooters actually get to work? When will these legislooters actually begin to put the interests of the suffering children and families ahead of their self interests? Maybe, the citizens ought to gather their brooms and start sweeping out this rubbish. This one no be laffing mata nah.
