I served in benue and trust me, this is not far from the truth. Annoying thing is most of the indigenes there are so content with their inhuman way of life.

I wont be surprised, Benue state os one state that is lagging in terms of infrastructural development and social amunities, the previous governors have done nothing for the states than enrich themselves, its amazing that none of them has been tried by EFCC.....they act and rule like its their birthright and they owe anyone no explanations. Its quite unfortunate that the senate president is form one of the least developed states in the country and hasn't deemed it fit to implement some changes, lets not even talk about the fact that civil servants in the states don't get paid. It is truely 'The General Hospital Otukpo. Otukpo is a town that is suffering from Prolonged Stagnation.It has been the same way since the 80's with very little improvements as per infrastructures. Bad road,no pipe borne water, Old structures, schools with poor amenities... the list is endless. In summary, Otukpo has had very little or no imputs from numerous local govt chairmen or councillors not to talk of Senator David Mark who has been there like forever and the road leading to his house in GRA otukpo is full of potholes. I can say all this because I am from Otukpo and I know.

Same state that produced the likes of George Akume, David Mark,Audu Ogbe, Barnabas Gemade, Abba Moro,etc. The list is endless. Otukpo is supposedly the most developed part of Idoma land so just try to imagine what the health centers in the interior villages will be like.
