Men do what they do because they are made that way. You said we all know cheating is wrong but we all do it. But why do YOU call it cheating? I guess cos your pastor or church says so!! But has it always been this way? I say NO. This idea that a relationship should involve one man one woman came with the Roman Empire. They promoted strict monogamy (even though they had numerous mistresses!) which they enforced when they took over the Roman Catholic Church. The whole idea was so strange to the people of that time that they called it ROMANtic - hence ROMANTIC love!! What could be more romantic than a man and a woman together to the exclusion of any other! Buts it has always been artificial. Even the Romans kept mistresses and abused their slaves and servants while pretending in public. The people of God, the Jews, were more open and realistic. God's wahala with David, for example, was not cos he had many wives and concubines but cos he went after another man's wife (by the way that is the only adultery recognised by the Bible). In nature animals (some people will say we are not animals! Ok deceive yourselves) pair-bond ( that is marry) but this only occurs in stress situations like famine. A male and female come together and defend an area with their offsprings? against other animals but as soon as food is abundant again everyone goes on their merry way! Modern man has decided to make himself miserable by over stressing on 'cheating' but the fact remains that it can never stop cos deep down it is not natural!! Scientist have studied it and have come to the conclusion that it does not occur anywhere (be it man or animal) in nature.

Well from personal experience,I'll conclude that most of the reasons why men cheat always comes from the women/Ladies.let me relate this personal experience of mine,am actually into a distant relationship of 4 yrs,she's based in delta state and schools there.actually and am in lag.we talk on phone almost everyday,she calls me more.I love her no doubt and I know our feelings are mutual.We came arround last month and before then the last time we saw was last year december.to cut the story short na hin my barbie dey form tired for me ooo? I have been married for 6 years and cheated once within the first 6months of marriage. Why did I do it? Back then, I called it unfinished business. But after the deed was done, I told my wife about it and eventually was forgiven and I had been faithful since then.

I cannot claim that making the decision not to cheat is easy because it isn't, which is why many do cheat. Unfortunately women often do not help making this decision easier - they have set themselves up as a mega source of temptation.
However, hard or not, I have made that decision over and over again and found ways to help make it easier for me - and the most valuable of these were leaning on God and working discussing matters with my wife.
