Women gather at Federal Secretariat in support of Aviation Minister

A small group of women this morning gathered at the Federal Secretariat in Abuja, in support of embattled minister of Aviation, Ms Stella Oduah. The women carried placards which read 'a fight against Stella Oduah is a fight against women'. Erm, I don't think so! See more exclusive photos after the cut...

This is poverty at the highest level. I'm sure this women are paid money to do this. I'm sorry for this country.

Sorry for this country called nigeria, when women are protesting for a thief. There are women and children raped every day, widows that are destitute, children in deep poverty, and the list goes on. But here instead of protesting for the causes listed above, these dumb broads without nothing of substance do, are making a mockery of women' rights. Bitches go back to where you belong to your lord and masters your HUSBANDS.

I pity Nigeria, who has gone to bribe these shameless women now, is been a woman enough reason to be corrupt? Until we are firm and do the right thing irrespective of who and where d offender is from, we will remain like this. I pray we get better anyway, cos I love Nigeria.

I agree with them. She is singled out because she is a woman. I do not condone corruption or the use of the nation's resources for frivolous pursuits. They make a scapegoat of her while letting people that have looted billions off with a slap on the wrist. They have found the defenseless scapegoat. Those doing the probing are equally corrupt, or did you not recently post a story about the presidential fleet of airplanes (if that was true)? Did he purchase them with his money? People what do you think?

I wonder how much these women were paid for this shameful act. A minister misused govt funds and they are saying she should be left alone??! Look at some of them looking hungry and supporting someone who is swimming in stolen wealth and didn't know they existed till today. If the accusation against Stella Oduah is true then she must be punished.

Rakiyat Odunsi said...

These women on the street must have been bought with a little token, for them to come and defend someone trying to steal what belongs to us all. Poverty is very bad.

it is a disappointment of a gigantual order for these women to be doing these.it's obvious the they must have been given money. when we are jeering up for more women in leadership positions or even as president of naija, they are coming out in support of a corrupt woman??? this has set our leadership aspiration for women 10yrs backwards if not more. it is the sector under that ministry naija has recorded the 2nd highest number of death this year, and they are supporting her corrupt tendencies??? they should even clamour for her removal, as a bad egg amongst women, unless they are telling us that it is the intention of women to be corrupt in power. we should not forget so quickly Eteh, d former speaker of house of reps now stella.

Clearly the protesters are cheaply paid help and campaigners who have no idea what they are talking about. Fight Agaignst Oduah Is Fight Against CORRUPTION! This protest is actually a very corrupt move in a ploy to give the impression that there are any form of support for Oduah and those protesters should have been arrested and the culprit behind that protest found out.

Anonymous said...

This is serious. These women should take a back seat joor. Bloody sycophants. They should have used masks to cover their faces because their children must be very ashamed of them right now. Injustice against women my foot. Next please!!

Anonymous said...

LOL....First of all, taking a good look at these women, one can easily tell they don't even understand the concept "corruption" let alone "the right of a woman". please if u guys need something to rebel against, then u guys can try "child marriage" but then, i guess is late now......MTCHEEW

Anonymous said...

They are MAD! I'm sure the money they were paid didn't pass 100k if it reached that much sef. See the problem with this useless country. Attack against women my foot. How many women will that 225 million have saved from death via childbirth, gone towards a rehab centre for victims of rape and paedophilia and domestic abuse, girl education, immunization, antiretroviral drugs, starting a small business? BASTARDS.

Anonymous said...

Laide, I strongly agree with you. You just said what is on my mind. Thanks.

RUBBISH. A REAL PROTEST DOES NOT HAVE PRINTED PLA CARDS, ITS OBVIOUS THESE ARE THE DOMESTIC STAFF OF THE MINISTER AND SHE MIGHT PAID THEM 2K EACH. POLICE WONT ARREST THEM NOW O BUT IF DINO MALAYE PROTEST WITH HIS PEOPLE COMMISSIONER WILL ARREST HIM

Seriously?! is this the best Stella could do? It's so freaking apparent ,that these clueless misfits were paid to carry those stupid placards in unnecessary protest.
The msgs on these placards are just bewildering. What does corruption have to do with gender?!! Who ever came up with this idea is just plain dumb and delusional.

Anonymous said...

It is obvious she arranged this protest but if she is not guilty why not let the committee investigating complete their assignment and why did she refuse to appear before the panel for invitation? This are signs that she is guilty. The worst is that I heard FAAN also bought over 200 official cars with 4 bullet proof jeeps inclusive which I believe is also for the minister cos my dad was a former director there and there was never a law requiring bullet proof vehicles for the MD or anyone but am sure they are trying to cover up that one now. The corruption in this sector and the country in general is so high. God pls help us?

Anonymous said...

Unknown said...

Commonnn!!! This line of thought is one of the reasons we remain stagnant. Don't bring gender into it. So even if it's proven she's guilty will u ask her to keep a job cos of gender??? Man or woman any1 found guilty of corruption should be punished! It's just so sad out mindset won't bring about change, every1 should be held accountable for their actions.

Anonymous said...

See them. They are supporting evil. anyway I no blame una because the don swear for una. Shameless human beings

Excuse me sir/ma, are u high??? If not are u sure u can read? If yes is it comics u have been reading? Firstly with the amount of armed policemen this ppl go around with, I don't think a bulletproof car is necessary & even if it is why would she buy a car almost 10 times it's worth?

I completely understand where they are coming from. Nigerian leaders have been openly embezzling our resources and doing corrupt deals and nobody has stood up against them, but once Stella who happens to be a powerful woman does it, the whole nation is suddenly awake and are fighting and protesting against her because she is a woman and " helpless" . What about the long line of men that have been doing this. We should be fighting against them all as whole. Both parties whether man or woman are wrong, so lets fight them as a whole, starting with our weak president!
