Pic: Burnt remains of murdered youth corper, Ukeoma Aik

Ukeoma Aik at a wedding
He went to serve his fatherland and got killed in the most gruesome manner. Beaten, butchered and set on fire. The horrific pic of his charred remains when you continue...
At this point, I have to say... *Warning* ...graphic photo...

Ukeoma Aik's burnt body. So who do we hold responsible for his death? These guys can't die in vain...
And no, I'm not going to take this picture down. I hope it haunts us all enough to do something about the way these young men died..

We are all upset and agree this is a terrible injustice to those poor corpers but i really don't think you are honoring him or his family by posting burnt pictures of him.

That said, something needs to be done ASAP! Enough of the senseless killings.

I hope they'v evacuated all the corpers serving in those states?My advice is that on no account should corpers be used during elections again in nigeria.Thank God it didn't happn during my own time cos had it been i was posted to Nothern state,i would simply make a U turn to my fathers house.I did rather die peacefully than given my life to that so called country.
Mr President please don't let this case die away.Our hearts are bleeding.

I visited his facebook page recently. This guy obviously had love for God and this country. Everything he wrote about on his page was how optimistic he was that Nigeria will get better. I also read down to the january. He professed good things into his future. I wept like a child. He had no idea this was going to be his end. So sad.

Some parts of these country should be seceeded! They should go and form their own NIGERIA! call it fucking almajiria!

This is madness! An innocent family trying to do the right thing in the way of status quo will send their son to enrol in NYSC only for them to receive charcoal and ash back in return, mba mba, the perpetrators must be burnt as well! BURN THEM ALL!!!!

Linda

Abeg all those so called youth and twitter activist demanding a debate from Jonathan, where are they? Now election is over so they are done till next election ehn? I’m heavily disappointed to say the least. By now we have not seen any form of “activism” or agitation regarding the deaths of these corpers. No demand for the federal government or NYSC to identify and honor these heroes of our time. No demand for the families to be compensated. No demand for the injured to receive better treatment. The type of apathy being shown towards this issue is disgusting. Maybe I’ve been out of the country for so long I don’t even realize how used we are to deaths we have stopped caring because I don’t get this sort of apathy we are showing. The media is silent, the youths are silent, the government is silent, and the so-called activists are silent. Everyone is silent.

Yet we youths claim we are over 70% of the population and deserve to be heard. The same voice used in demanding for a debate should be used in demanding accountability from the federal government. Use the same voice to demand justice for these dead and injured corpers. These people deserve better. The only visible thing we have right now is a petition that would be sent to NASS and we are not even signing that. It would be a shame if this dies down without anyone doing anything about it. Shame on you and me, shame on the youths and shame on the whole nation.

PS: Thanks to you Linda for keeping in touch with what’s going with these guys. At least you are not silent.

RIP... THIS IS BEYOND SAD, THISIS EVIL, I CANNOT EVEN BEGIN TO IMAGINE THE SUFFERINGS AND PAIN HE WENT THRU, I BELIEVE HE IS IN A SAFE PLACE IN HEAVEN NOW, I TAKE SOLACE IN THAT FOR HIS FAMILY AND FRIENDS ESPECIALLY. AS FOR THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT, GOD WILL SURE JUDGE! WHY ARE THESE YOUNG MEN AND WOMEN OBLIGED TO SERVE A COUNTRY THAT HAS NOT CONTRIBUTED ANYTHING TO THEIR EDUCATION OR WELFARE AND UPBRINGING FOR A YEAR AFTER SCHOOL. EVEN DEVELOPED COUNTRIES THAT PROVIDE THESE BASIC THINGS IN LIFE DO NOT REQUIRE THEIR CITIZENS TO SERVE THEM FOR A YEAR BEFORE THEY CAN MOVE ON WITHH THEIR LIVES AND FUTURE AFTER COMPLETING THEIR EDUCATION, MY POINT... NYSC IS POINTLESS AND MUST BE SCRAPPED! EVIL MEN MUST BE BROUGHT TO JUSTICE, ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!!!

Prayer for Good luck Jonathan from Psalm 72 Psalm Of Solomon.
 1 Endow the President Goodluck Jonathan with your justice, O God,
   the royal son with your righteousness.
2 May he judge your people in righteousness,
   your afflicted ones with justice.
 3 May the mountains bring prosperity to the people,
   the hills the fruit of righteousness.
4 May he defend the afflicted among the people
   and save the children of the needy;
   may he crush the oppressor.
5 May he endure as long as the sun,
   as long as the moon, through all generations.
6 May he be like rain falling on a mown field,
   like showers watering the earth.
7 In his days may the righteous flourish
   and prosperity abound till the moon is no more.
 8 May he rule from sea to sea
   and from the River to the ends of the earth.
9 May the desert tribes bow before him
   and his enemies lick the dust.
10 May the kings of Tarshish and of distant shores
   bring tribute to him.
May the kings of Sheba and Seba
   present him gifts.
11 May all kings bow down to him
   and all nations serve him.
 12 For he will deliver the needy who cry out,
   the afflicted who have no one to help.
13 He will take pity on the weak and the needy
   and save the needy from death.
14 He will rescue them from oppression and violence,
   for precious is their blood in his sight.
 15 Long may he live!
   May gold from Sheba be given him.
May people ever pray for him
   and bless him all day long.
16 May grain abound throughout the land;
   on the tops of the hills may it sway.
May the crops flourish like Lebanon
   and thrive like the grass of the field.
17 May his name endure forever;
   may it continue as long as the sun.
   Then all nations will be blessed through him,
   and they will call him blessed.
 18 Praise be to the LORD God, the God of Israel,
   who alone does marvelous deeds.
19 Praise be to his glorious name forever;
   may the whole earth be filled with his glory.
            Amen and Amen.
 20 This concludes the prayers of the children of God in Nigeria

I weep for this Nation Nigeria!
It's unfortunate that this kind of barbaric act still take place in a nation that claims to be giant of Africa, a nation that claims know it all in matters of policy. A nation that fails to reposition herself for good is a failed state; seen in the continuous violence and mayhem that have become the tradition and way of life in the north, where people(Xians, and recently Southern Corps members) are massacred at will by the Islamic fundamentalists i.e. almajiris & co. The solution to this is not in giving affected families paltry N5Million but in bringing the culprits and their leaders-Osama Muhammadu Buhari, Isa Yuguda and others to book, so as to serve as deterrent to others. May the souls of the 10 Corps Members rest in peace.

It has the most efficient ice cream on the planet, but when somebody enters your retailer, you'll be defeated.
