Archbishop of Owerri moves into INEC Office

Archbishop Anthony Obinna
It is being reported that the Owerri Catholic Archbishop, Anthony Obinna, has moved into INEC office in Owerri and has promised not to leave the office until the Imo State governorship election result is announced. He is staying at the Owerri INEC office with other priests.
Do you agree with this move?

Well It is alleged that Mr Ohakim's thugs had beaten up a catholic priest at some stage of his checkered governance while he looked on. Even though it is also said he apologised for this callous behaviour on state TV, Catholic faithfuls in Imo state are still very upset over this alleged unsactimonous act. There is a failure of leadership, law and rules in Nigeria so what do you expect? Even our judiciary is weak.We are living on the edge of anarchy and maybe a civil war which I do not pray for is not far off.

Yes they should. It is this peaceful attitude that these bloody Almajeris have often taken as a sign of weakness on the part of the southerners. The Almajeris need to know that there are better ways of expressing your displeasure without resorting to violence, and i think the Church has buried their heads in the sand for too long, looking the other way while politicians imporverish the people they are meant to serve. Those Church leaders refuse to speak out because of the huge amounts corrupt politicians donate to church building funds all over the place as well as the offerings they collect on special thanksgiving services. Let the Church speak when it should or forever remain silent in the face of tyrany!!!!

The Arch Bishop should face his church duties, before he gets embarrassed and the catholic community will accuse who embarrassed him of disrespect for man of GOD

if i may ask, is there any record to show that Jesus christ interfer to worldly assignments or our Lord Jesus one day get up to force world people to his father's will? if yes, the archbishop and any other should stay. But, if NO,they should go on three days prayers for God to engage them fully for His assignment to win souls for Christ and dirty politicians Owerri.

Does this man have nothing better to do? Perhaps that all Catholics have crossed over to join the pentecostal movement, so he has no flock left to tender to, lol

Yes. I think PDP is trying to cheat. If Ohakim didn't win, he should accept defeat. People don't want him anymore.

Is the Arch Bishop contesting for a political position? Or are the priest fighting for positions in the state. So why are people abusing them . They have decided to fight for their state and that is what people of imo state should do. Go and force the results out of inec instead of sitting down at home and abusing the people that have decided to stand for justice. Ans people wonder why Nigeria is the way it is.
