"He is from Ekeremor Local Government Area, Bayelsa State. He just committed suicide early this morning on Vanguard Street off Imgbi Road, Yenagoa. More reason people need to plan their lives, 6 children in this kind of economy, there will definitely be pressure.
May his soul rest in peace. Now what becomes the fate of the children he left behind, he didn't try at all.

RIP.

But these are social and healthcare failures. Social in terms of family dynamics and lack of interest in therapy; healthcare, because really, they suck in mental health. Suicide should not be something you decide in a week until you have gone through therapy, medications and exercise. In nigeria therapy is non functional and the drugs are base and choice of drug also restrictive. There is little one can do if a community do not have a channel where a heavily burdened person can freely express their mind without judgement, seek support and treat whatever ails them.
