Senate suspends confirmation of INEC RECs in protests against Pres. Buhari’s refusal to sack EFCC acting chair, Ibrahim Magu

The senate today suspended the confirmation exercise of 27 Resident Electoral Commissioners President Buhari sent in for confirmation. According to the senators, the refusal of the presidency to sack acting chairman, Ibrahim Magu, even after they rejected him, is an insult to the house. The senators argued that some of the presidential aides have formed the habit of disrespecting them. They stated that the suspension of the confirmation would send a signal to the preisdency that they are not happy with the manner some of his aides behave. Continue to see what transpired in the house after the cut.

Can't the executive and legislative arm of government resolve their issues with letting it disrupt their duties?

See that one saying Magu is terrorising them, yo man that's why they desperately want him out. If you don't have skeletons in your cupboard why worry?

Guess this may be the worst Senate in the history of Nigeria. They are minding themselves, the citizens don't mind them.

Seriously, I laugh. Our dear senators, I am happy to say an individual irrespective of his lavish lifestyle as claimed by most of y'all, is ready and brave enough to fight impunity in the National Assembly. He is a rare enigma, so be ready to dance to the music of justice.
