Zenith Bank has a certain bias towards women being on their legal team.I think that is just so wrong and totally unacceptable.I remember what happened as a corper when I was posted to serve at the bank some years ago.Being a lawyer, I expected to be put in the legal department because it was a proper fit for my qualification.To my surprise,the bank officials told me that 'Women do not work in their legal department'.Rather,the human resources dept was checking to see if i had good grades in maths and economics so i work as a cash officer.Nonsense. I found this totally disappointing...like seriously?! I sha managed in another department till service was over and I left to get the requisite legal experience from a law firm..I think zenith bank should do something about this.It is very wrong!
Because women are only good in marketing in Zenith Bank. That's their ideology and hence the emergence of "Zenith Laps", the most powerful marketing tool in Zenith Bank.
With over 15k women in the legal profession in Nigeria, there is no woman in the banks in-house legal team. If this were abroad you can be sure that they will lose some very good customers as a result of this picture alone. Yeye bank, hype for CNN non in reality.SMH

According to their HR team no ladies are allowed in the legal team and no guys are allowed in the HR team if you are not fair you cannot be in marketing if you are dark behind the counter or as a cashier lol..... their rules their regulations
It is the bank's policy that no females work in legal. No males in customer service, no females in credit risk management group (crmg), no female in people plus and hardly any male in human Resources but they have males in human capital. Reason again is that the group heads of Legal and people plus won't work with females, according to them females have too much drama.
Legal work in banks is way too tedious and So they use only men, on the other hand, men don't work in their customer service, so would u say it's discrimination against men? It's what zenith wants, and they are ok with it. Also only men work as auditors cos they are always travelling. I don't think it's any discrimination against women, if for one, zenith has more number of female branch heads than men. Banks maximize their time, no time for sentiments, and it works for them, so let them be. I'm an ex staff of zenith and there's no gender inequality believe me. On the job, u don't even remember u are a woman, it's same appraisal for everyone.
