Sad! One of BBOG campaigners, Elvis Iyorngurum, dies after a brief illness

One of the male campaigners of the Bring Back Our Girls advocacy group, Elvis Iyorngurum has died. His Friends say he died this afternoon at a hospital in his hometown of Benue state after a brief illness. Elvis was very passionate about the rescue of the kidnapped Chibok girls and was looking forward to seeing them rescued. Sadly he will not be witnessing that day. May his soul rest in peace Amen.

Elvis will be greatly missed. One of the most passionate Nigerians I ever met. Very intelligent, articulate and had a calm and respectable personality. We have lost one great Nigerian. I remember everyday, driving home from work I would see him with the BBOG activists. Everyday without fail, He was there doing the little He could. I do pray that the kidnapped girls are freed someday, as a tribute to him and the many lives living in hurt since the kidnapping. Elvis is such a great example to the rest of us whose comfort gets in the way of much needed compassion and action. Writer, Activist, Brother, Friend. I'm glad He was a follower of Jesus Christ. Death is but sleep to the one who believes in Jesus. By His grace, I will run with endurance the race set before me, as Elvis did. Till we meet to part no more. Rest, Brother.
