Becoming an Events Planner in any capacity requires a great deal of dedication and passion. It also requires creativity, a sense of style, excellent business, and organizational skills. Planners devote hours to planning and coordinating every detail, negotiating with event vendors, dealing with clients and their families, as well as gracefully handling every twist and turn encountered along the way.

We ask you to support us in creating a Nigeria that is a positive brand for a commercially viable enterprise, a platform for international business with a sense of pride.

All event planners are invited

I'm surprised and dissapointed that 50 years after Nigeria's independence from the British empire, there's STILL no Association of Professional Bloggers (APB) in Nigeria.

Nigerian bloggers needs to be government regulated and must apply for Blogging Permit (BP) - and if they criticise the government or president's wife, their permit must be withdrawn.

Hope I've not put idea in Nigerian government's head.

If any of their staff gets to read this post i want to encourage them to get sum1 to manage their website. Its a nice idea but sum1 needs to man their system. And read your email people sent you one a couple of days back but it hasnt been read. I know this because of the cookie that is been logged on all email addressed purchased from godaddy. READ YOUR EMAIL.......

i dont think its a good idea, name sounds too ugly sef! Creativity cannot be "boxed" or regulated, ...this just sounds funny, "association of events planners" ... Who sets the standards? Who will be the judge? Event planning is a creative work yes professionalism cannot be compromised but Creativity cannot be "controlled". Selah!

I hope this is not a means of controlling the industry and upcoming event planners. Am not sure I have ever heard of this in any other foreign country. And really who are the judges and how to you creat accreditation for event managment. When they started did anyone accreditate dem.

I suport but how can this association deal with fraudsters that won't join the association? Bcos it seems a lot of jobless ladies these days just wake up, coalate names of vendors from wedding planner mag, and voila..I'm a wedding planner and I'm entitled to 10% off every vendor. Too much daylight robbery, in this their industry. Stray little girls without respect, seeking relevance and attempting to call the shots. No disrespect, but I've met a few.

May I use this medium to alert funke bucknor...keep ur eyes on ur staff. They lobby for bribes from suppliers. If u don't bribe them, they won't reccommend you to the client for jobs.they also request for unapproved commisions payable only in cash to them. After all the ball is in their court. I've been a victim. Discuss this @ ur next APOEMN meeting.

If u had such an issue why not report it to Funke

Let her know. Don't use mediums like these to say it
