The reggae superstar, who is a shadow of his old self, has just signed a N15 million recording deal with a Nigerian based record label called A Plus Recording and Award company. The deal will last for two years and the record label has already started getting him gigs both in Nigeria and outside Nigeria. In fact Majek will embark on an international tour in July. He'll be touring Italy, Spain, Canada...and some countries yet to be confirmed. So get ready people. He might have lost his looks, but he's still got the talent.

I do hope that the N15mil includes rehab/psychological treatment, if they don't treat the root of the problem, they will never get this man back to some semblance of his former self. They need to have a sober coach with him that will keep him from indulging in alcohol and drugs.
MANnnnnn I used to have the biggest crush on Majek, chei! I remember when he performed in my town, I begged and begged and begged to be allowed to go and I got to see him up close because I made sure I was there EARLY! Fast forward a few years ago, I saw him high as a kite in Manhattan and then at another show somewhere in NY, he could barely string a sentence together. He keeps claiming he was not on drugs but an alcoholic, I don't believe him. It isn't only alcohol that tore him up like this, drugs rut out your teeth and when I saw him, he was incoherent in a drug induced way, his high was not alcohol induced. This is not what marijuana does to people unless his marijuana was laced with coke, formaldehyde, crack, pcp, lsd or any other substance. Natural, unadultrated marijuana is harmless! I had friends in college who smoke weed, finished with great grades and have gone on to have families, hold down jobs and build homes.
