I hope the very poor who can't afford any money at all will be given free screening and treatment where necessary.

Very good and welcome development.

Finally i guess these men of God are feeling the heat and have decided to serve the people that invest in them....

Hopefully this is sustainable

Wow. God bless this man. I hope those nigerians that say you dont need medicine are seeing. I was moved to tears when i saw this cos so many nigerians are dying of cancer now. I wish oyakilome n oyedepo will follow. This is what it means to give back to society and be accountable.

Daddy more power and strenght. We are so proud of you and the church at large. This is a great project.

It was actually built by City of David and the Apapa Family, parishes of RCCG. Pastor Adeboye opened and dedicated it 2 weeks. The fees will be subsidized and there are plans to treat those who can't afford it.

Wow....it is not enough to cast and bind illnesses and not look for solution, like most pastors do. This is awesome and the first of its kind in Nigeria. God bless you sir.

Anon 1:07 what do you mean by feeling the heat?I attend redeemed and ever since i started attending there's always been programs like this in my parish. The fact that its not in the news doesn't mean the church hasn't been doing stuff like this

by feeling the heat, i mean with all the hype going on about pastors owning jets (including Adeboye), pastors in the business to make money,it's good to see this level of commitment to the society.

By this level, i mean grand scale not just feeding the poor once a month and all those small small stuvs that are 1 time.

Jim Ovia also donated a hospital which is awesome.

Free schools, hospitals, abuse centers, career centers, orphanages, adoption centers, micro financing, and others should be considered by these churches. afterall they take so much from the society, they should be able to use it for good deeds.

i'm soo happy that churches are doing this...this is how Christianity should be!

Ade_Cool said...

no ones saying they should be accountable to the society at large that is the function of the Govt..but at a minimum they owe it to their respective church members who pay tithe and give selfless service to the church..

Hope this will be another selfless act to help cut down on the death rate in Nigeria

the social function that the pentecostal churches play in Nigeria ought to be properly analysed and appreciated.

As a doc, I salute RCCG for this, gets me excited! God bless all involved.

@ folks talking about other pastors. Do you know what they are doing too? Please leave these men of God alone?? Do you know how many things that are done that never make the news????

Your fathers and uncles in govt, what are they doing? what have they done? you that is the mistress of the Lagos big boy dashing you money, what have you done?
Concept of tithe is even greater than the physical church. People going to church arent mumus, we understand principles behind it, Oyedepo's books and others helped me. I know where I was a few years ago and where I am now. I have never been broke, and always have an overflowing surplus even more so than my friends making the big bucks, who dont understand. God is a mystery, dont try to use your human mind to figure Him out.

Tithe is God's money, offerings are beyond that. I know I'll never lack in any way, will never have to borrow, because I get it now! Instead of pointing fingers, get past your human wisdom, cause the greater wisdom exists, and its divine and ALL KNOWING, ALL POWERFUL!

By the way, The men of God are accountable to no one but God.
@ Anon talking about feeling the heat, you must not understand how God works. Giving in public is irrelevant. God's reward pass man's reward and acknowledgment. I'd rather build a N100m center and no one knows, so I can receive God's might reward alone. These men of God understand it, but unfortunately many who call themselves Christians, dont understand God. The church is too lazy to seek Him and explore the depths of our inheritance.

Jay O..if u want to side track the thread go ahead..let's be honest..this is damn good business using the name of the Lord and cleverly using and researching parts of the scripture to cover their backs..you say tithes is God's money but they use it to fond a lavish lifestyle...planes..houses...luxury cars..glamourous wives some even divorced all the things of the world they preach against!!..a bunch of hypocrites they need to start giving back..enough of the rhetoric..this guys are nothing but motivational speakers laced up with scriptures..perfect theraphy when you out of luck...
