"To Love a Ghost' comes to Lagos

For the first time in Lagos, a soul stirring tale, TO LOVE A GHOST; will be presented on stage by DreamPlayHouse Theatre. “To Love A Ghost” is a play written by Ita Hozaife and directed by Kenneth Uphopho. It tells the intriguing yet gripping story of the travails of child abuse, a disturbing trend that continues to be rampant in our society and even the world over.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The story revolves around a young girl, Lois, who learns about life and love a little too fast and a little too hard. She is abused and maltreated by people who should give her protection and guidance in her journey through life.
Drawing from the theatrical arsenal of suspense, humour and unnerving reality, Ita Hozaife, the playwright brings into dramatic reality, the vicissitudes of the life of the protagonist. The playwright dramatises the many contradictions of life whilst the play's thematic thrust brings to the mind Mahatma Ghandi's assertion decades ago that, "The world has enough to satisfy man's need, but not enough for his greed."
And so on Saturday, the 4th of September 2010 at Terra Kulture, Tiamiyu Savage Street, Victoria Island, Lagos; TO LOVE A GHOST will be presented in two performances, the Matinee Performance which kicks off at 3pm and the Red Carpet Performance which begins at 5pm.
