A 23-year-old woman, who gave her identity as Pelumi Ogunbadejo, has abandoned her newly delivered baby at a private hospital in Abeokuta, Ogun State and disappeared into thin air. She is said to have claimed to be resident of Akute, in Ifo Local Government area of the state while on admission.

This is Saddening news and, more importantly, a sobering story.
I cannot presume to know the circumstances that forced her to abandon her baby, but this is a show of irresponsibility on her part and on the part of her child's father.

I don't think it is fair to release the woman's name. Maybe she thinks people at the hospital would do a better job than she can. We don't know her circumstances.
@Nonso you c=go on to say we don't know the whole story and then in the same sentence insult the mother and father. How about you follow your own advice.
what a sad, sad story- my heart goes out to this baby- I would love to adopt this baby if possible.
i think she did the best thing in whatever circumstance she is .a lot of them try to kill the babies...
at least she did not abort the child or but left the child at a hospital and not on the side of the road. only the person walking in the shoes knows where it is pinching them o at the same time at 23 years old, there is not reason for her to have gotten pregnant in the first place, there are condoms and if she couldn't afford it then she should have practiced the rhythm method, i.e. pull out before dude let out.
now, the system is burdened with another child who did NOT have to be conceived in the first place.
it is a no win situation and pitiful no matter what angle we view it from.
