Topic of the day: Men of God marrying Men of God

Like I always say, I have nothing against homosexuals. People's sexual orientation is their business as long as they do not disturb me with it...but if you're a Man of God, someone who knows God and the scripture, someone who should lead people to the right path in life, is it okay to be shacking up with other men, and doing it openly?

Read the last sentence on the intro above. It says  - Rev. Jones-Wade (pictured above on the right) is married to First Gentleman, Job Jones-Wade...they reside in the DC area. a'fi First Gentleman no'o! Lol. The guy on the left is openly gay Nigerian pastor Rowland Jide Macaulay. What do you guys think of Men of God marrying men?

Photos: Accident on 3rd mainland bridge this morning

The accident happened around 11.45 am today. It was caused by a red saloon car which was loaded with foodstuff. The saloon car lost control and hit an SUV, causing the SUV to somersault. Fortunately no one was injured in the accident.

And how is this news, Linda? Well, a LIB reader witnessed the accident, took photos and sent it in. After all that effort, it's only fair for me to post it and for you guys to read it and comment. LOL. See more photos after the cut...

Pastor Adefarasin to officially open newly built cathedral this Sunday

Pastor Paul Adefarasin's newly built Rock Cathedral will be officially opened this coming Sunday March 17th for church service. The multi billion Naira church building, which is located along the Lekki/Epe Expressway was first used for  service on December 31st and then also used for the House on the Rock founder's 50th birthday in January.

From March 17th, the 32, 000 square meters, 10, 000 seating capacity church will be officially opened to members of the church. The service this Sunday is themed - It's Time.

Enugu State Governor's son Nnamdi Chime set to wed

Enugu State governor Sullivan Chime's son, Nnamdi, is getting ready to quit bachelorhood. He will marry his heartthrob Nneoma Atueyi next month, April 2013.

Their traditional wedding will hold on Friday April 12th at the bride's hometown of Nnewi, in Anambra State while their white wedding will hold on Saturday April 13th in Enugu. Congrats to them. Cute girl!

Alamieyeseigha, Diya, Musa Yar'adua, others get a State pardon

A State pardon was granted today by President Goodluck Jonathan to convicted Ex-Governor of Bayelsa State, Diepreiye Alamieyeseigha, and seven others, purportedly on the advice of the Council of State which is comprised of the President, Vice President, all state Governors, all living former presidents, Chief Justice of the Federation, the Senate President and speaker amongst others. The seven others that are to receive pardon are:

*Former Chief of General Staff, Oladipo Diya
* Former Chief of Staff Supreme Military Council, and brother of the late President, late Major General Shehu Musa Yar'adua
* Major Bello Magaji NA/­6604
* Mohammed Lima Biu
* Shettima Bulama, ex-convicted banker
* Major Geeneral Abdulkareem Adisa (Post Humous)
* Major Segun Fadipe

Kanu Heart Foundation N5b Specialist Cardiac Centre Fundraiser

The legendary footballer will hold his foundation's fundraiser this Thursday March 14th at the Congress Hall of the Transcorp Hilton Hotel, Abuja. Time 5 pm.

"I found out my wife of 11 years cheated on me with some guy. This was last year June. She confessed to me after I confronted her with the facts. I decided to forgive her and stay married to her because I have cheated on her in the past too and I didn't want to destroy our family because we have four small children together. The thing now is; I don't love her anymore. I can't stand her and can't even bare to touch her. When she talks to me I get so angry I feel like stabbing her in the eye but I've never laid hands on her. I don't talk to her much except when we want to talk about the kids. Benny Hinn remarries former wife

Televangelist Benny Hinn has remarried his former wife and mother of his four children, Suzanne Harthern. Hinn married Suzanne in 1979 and divorced her 31 years later in 2010. He claimed at the time that the split came about because of Suzanne's addiction to prescription drugs. In 2012, Hinn announced that he and Suzanne have begun reconciliation and the couple remarried on Sunday March 3, 2013 in Orlando, Florida. Inspiring!

Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority DG, Dr Harold Demuren, sacked

The Director-General of the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority, Dr. Harold Demuren, has been sacked. A statement was released today Monday March 11th saying the decision was approved by President Goodluck Jonathan after “a careful consideration” of Demuren’s “unsatisfactory response to the numerous concerns of stakeholders in the aviation sector.”

His successor will be announced in the coming days.

8 year old schoolboy marries 61 year old woman in South Africa

And Joan Rivers has something to say about it. Lol. An 8 year old schoolboy, Sanele Masilela, married 61 year-old married mother of five, Helen Shabangu, over the weekend, because the ghost of his dead ancestor told him to and his family, fearing divine retribution, organized a quick wedding.

Defending the wedding, Sanele's family said it's not legally binding, it was just a ritual. They didn't sign a marriage certificate and won't live together. Sanele's 46yr old mum, Patience Masilela said:

'This is the first time this has happened in the family. Sanele is named after his grandfather, who never had a white wedding before he died so asked Sanele to get married. He chose Helen because he loves her. By doing this we made the ancestors happy. If we hadn't done what my son had asked then something bad would have happened in the family. I didn't have a problem with it because I know it's what the ancestors wanted and it would make them happy.

Terrorists kill four in Kano drive-by shooting

Four persons were killed in drive-by shooting on Sunday by gunmen driving around on a tricycle  in an area of Kano.

The gunmen first struck at Dakata Bus Stop before moving to Dakata Kawaji area opposite a graveyard near the Custom’s barrack, where they shot two persons.

One of the gunmen, it was learnt, carried an AK 47 assault rifle wearing a dark blue kaftan.

Security agencies were said to have arrived the scene about 10 minutes after the gunmen had fled  to evacuate the victims. The identities of the victims were not immediately known. (Punch)

Last month Kanye West fired shots at Jay Z and Justin Timberlake when he trashed their new single, Suit and Tie during a concert in London. Well, during his appearance on Saturday Night Live last Saturday Justin Timberlake fired back at Kanye with Jay Z standing right beside him.

During his performance of Suit and Tie Justin changed one of his lyrics from,

"Shit so sick got a hit and picked up a habit" to "My hit's so sick, it got rappers acting dramatic" and then Jay Z came out and did his verse.

Main suspect in India gang rape/murder commits suicide in his cell

Police said the suspect hanged himself around 5am this morning in his prison cell...but his lawyer and parents are claiming he was murdered.

"Ram did not kill himself. He had no reason to. He was murdered," his father said.

"This is not a suicide. He was kept in isolation, with at least four special guards posted outside his cell. We suspect foul play" his lawyer said

33 year old Ram Singh was the driver of the New Delhi bus on which a 23 year old student was gang raped and fatally beaten on December 16 2012. The woman later died from injuries sustained from the attack. Six suspects were arrested and if convicted, could face the death penalty. (Read the original story HERE)

If you live in Nigeria, then you should be familiar with this. Often times we see these plates filled with food and left on the side of the road. It's called Ebó - a ritual offering or sacrifice as dictated by divination, which sometimes involves the offerings of cooked foods.

This homeless man was seen yesterday at Bakara Junction, Palm Groove, Lagos feeding on ritual food and even packing the rest inside a Nylon. Sad!
