3 male adults confirmed dead from accident at Ojuelegba yesterday

3 male adults aged from 30 - 55 years old have been confirmed dead from the trailer that fell off the Ojuelegba flyover bridge yesterday evening. The trailer fell and crushed the victims who were all occupants of an SUV. A 25 year old male survivor was rescued from the fairly impacted white Nissan

Eyewitnesses say the same container which was heavily loaded with cement had fallen down from the trailer at the Ijora area of Lagos earlier in the day. The SUV was with plate number LSD 532 CN

The case of falling off container on the Ojuelegba bridge is becoming too frequent. The govt need to be proactive to reduce future loss of life due to the carefree attitude of logistics companies.

Thus, I would suggest that The Nigeria Police through it Highway Marshall and FRSC must inspect any trailer before climbing our bridges.

Secondly, trailers that have not done it due diligence and has cause it vehicle to damage other people property should be made to pay for the loss of life and property

Atimes, I will be compelled to blame God while He created me to be a Nigerian. We will be busy stupidly shouting PDP, APC and all of that while we continue to die like useless flies and our leaders will continue to eat fat with our collective wealth. This is not the first or the second time this kind thing will happen at Ojuelegba and other locations, yet non of our Luciferic leaders will raise an eyebrow to it and look for a way to control the menace. A country where the life of the ordinary citizens are worthless and seen as unholy sacrifice. May God save His people.

RIP to the dead. But i blame the idiots that go around vandalizing guard rails on the bridges. If caught they should be charged with attempted murder.

Please can guard rails be put on all our bridges pls to avoid such

Its quite sad that drivers manning these heavy duty vehicles operate them as though they are driving race cars, swerving carelessly and speeding mindlessly. its a pity we lost souls even though we have a government that has demonstrated little attention for loss of life, i recommend experienced drivers be engaged forthwith, coupled with restricting these vehicle to designated routes to avoid a re-occurrence.

Of the thousand ways to die, this is the worst! They woke up early to go to work, had a long day at work and were on their way home, but evil was lurking from above! Some wicked person decided to cut corners and overload a trailer with more than it could carry and now those lives are gone with the wind!

Is it not time people are prosecuted for such things. If people are punished for accidents like these then everyone will be more careful.

Why should trailers climb bridges?
Restrictions apply in sensible countries to avoid accidents like this.
Why must people do business at the expense of the precious lives of fellow citizens?
Ambode, how many people must die before you sit down to think??
